Wow these are great tuts. Im trying to understand each one. Do you know of the proper tools to get the models from the game World of Tanks? The game is free to play and I do not plan on using the models for profit/gain. They will only be used for personal uses.

    Thanks for the comment.

I do not know of any tools or anyway to get them, which would mean its likely impossible, you would get a better answer if you ask the world of tanks community.

I've been trying to port WoT tanks to Men of War: AS for a while now, and I've almost succeeded. The only thing that is holding me away is the fact that I have 3DS max 2012 64 bit, and it doesn't support .mdl files. But I've prepared a t-50-2 with all volumes and animations. Maybe you can help me export (if you have an older version of 3ds max)?

P.S. The program you want that converts the standard WoT models (.primitives) to a 3DS max supported format (.3ds) is called "3D Object Converter".

P.P.S. I know that its a pain in the ass to convert and port the WoT models to MoW, so I could supply you with animated models, and you script them into the game.

I don't have much free time on my hands, any time i do have i have to put it to other things, putting a tank in MoW can take quite awhile, even though you may have prepared models, they can mess up and everything would have to be redone.

HI general, I have watched your tutorial on you tube, I have done everything right to export, now all I need is to script, I have made an attempt to script the model according to your video, however I get this error when I try to load the model.

Can you tell me what i did wrong or did not do?

I also get a red exclamation mark where my model is supposed to be, the model's name is desc/stuff/sks
