What in the hell are you talking about? After 10 minutes in the game most structures are damaged or gone. I'm simply stating that you wouldn't have any cover if sandbags were taken out. No i don't like farmland. It's had some changes that make it a little better especially cover to the center. Do you play farmland extensively? What does that have to do with anything?I know I guess AS armchair generals would even order their soldiers to build sandbags on Omaha Beach during landing.
So tell me: do you play 3v3 Fragtown or 2v2 Fragtown? 3v3 Farmland or 2v2 Farmland?

I miss tank only fights on road. Those were the bomb.

1) It is fairly obvious in warfare when you attack a fortified position with just infantry without armor support, you need a lot more men and a lot more sacrifice than defensive side. So without superior number or armor support, it doesn't surprise me at all that you end up in stale mate. Attacking against an experienced player is risky and most players are risk averse. So yeah, wonder why they end up in positional warefare.
2) I agree LMG is a slight bit too accurate. However, I think that your perception that LMG dominate the inf fight came from the fact an LMG is always behind cover and always in a defensive position. If you rush your LMG like your other inf, it will die just as fast.
3) 20mm rush is never a big issue. Against Germany, always have an Atr or at inf around when you attack or defend.
4) Saving for heavy tank can be countered strategically.
Quote1: "However, in ww2 mobile warfare, nobody was building fortifications during assault. Armies in WW2 utilised technological developments such as tanks, armoured cars, automatic weapons to develop more aggressive mobile warfare. "
lol, mobile warfare doesn't mean inf men rush without cover/sandbag. Put you in World War II battlefield. I bet the first thing you do is to find cover, build sandbag and avoid being in the open.
Quote2: "I felt like a good aggressive infantry play could win you early game. By a good infantry play I mean a good use of all weapons: rifles, smgs, lmg and nades.
Subelite infantry were a good choice in the early game. Branden were brilliant because of their AT-weapons.
I was not so stressed about how good my vehicles are or how much the cost, because aggressive infantry tactics helped me to control the map and thus giving me line of fire and line of sight superiority.
I don’t really enjoy the game right now."
Well, I guess other people find a cost effective tactic to make your assault less effective. So maybe try to adapt, rather than complaining and trying to nerf their tactics so you can win easily again with your old strategy?Last edited by PatFenis; 13-05-2012 at 08:41.

How can you attack anything without HT/20mm/heavy gun/howitzer/artillery/radio-op support? Any half decent defender will smash an aggressive infantry advance with ease, without sandbags he would just use the natural cover and still come out on top.
That's why PAK-40s are so overrated, because they can only defend. That's why M8s are so underrated, they're an early attackers best friend, especially multiple ones.Best regards!

Decent defenders suck in 2v2 Fragtown. When did you play a good 2v2 Fragtown last time?
I am kind of less interested in AS vanilla. I like Ty2903's mod however. I hope Ty2903 comes up with an theatre of war that will appeal to more players. What can I say? Riflemen in the Ty's mod are a backbone for all tactics; in AS, I can non stop spam just single SMGs and LMGs and I wouldn't even need a single rifleman.

25-05-2012 #130You can spam riflemen and machine gunners for much the same effect. Backbone of infantry in AS is MG. Don't see why you'd mix SMG with MG instead of riflemen. What can I say?
