    I have been converting russian mow campaign with improvements and full mowas support(8 players, apcr, always revive, heroic, better balance, fixes, logic) and improved soldier models so far I have 7 missions finalized with only sevastpool and night sneak missing atm. If anyone is bored and wanna playtest some alone or with friends here is latest build : *Currently latest build in testing, official release soon*.

    My God, that Carentan remake is up there with the hardest missions I've played!!!! The SturmTiger luckily blew itself up otherwise I'd probably never have finished the map. Did I enjoy it? Yes indeed. Loved it, in fact.


    Some comments re Carentan - WARNING, SPOILERS:


    1. Supply trucks have difficulty getting up hills at the "15 MP" tank area on the far East.
    2. I kept running out of 57MM ammo for the QF 6 Pdr AT guns. Any chance of more in the trucks?
    3. Also, rifle and SMG rounds should be upped in the supply truck, IMHO. Not enough SMG ammo to fully replenish an SAS squad, who I had defending a dangerous area. Micro managing them is no fun - well, not for me.
    4. Same with Oerlikon 20mm ammo - need some more of that I think.
    5. SturmTiger can blow itself up!!! I saw it myself.... I never managed to blow it up and I tried lots of times. I even got a soldier near it with dynamite and it didn't go up.... so I was lucky
    6. The British Squad Leader is useless with that grenade rifle. He is a sitting duck in this map. I always use squad leaders as MG emplacement gunners as he serves no useful purpose otherwise. Also, his skill with SMGs is low for a leader. Any chance of giving him a Sten Mark IV instead, and making him 3 stars with SMGs?
    7. I saw a crashed plane wreck appear on the map. How it got there, no idea. What happened there? Was it a para drop that failed?
    8. Loved the Tiger & King Tiger counter attacks!!!! Now, if they were combined with a paradrop behind my lines, how awesome would that be?
    9. Repairing and using the enemy tanks against them was hilarious. Ausf. G and H's against Ausf. Bs, very satisfying....


    Keep up the good work DJ - a highly recommended map for those who like a challenge.

    BTW, just started it on "Heroic" - there's nothing there!!!! Shame, I wanted to try on that difficulty

    Yes thanks, carentan uk is one of my old conversions, I have no idea whether any of the recent patches break anything and it has some of my older scripting methods, I am looking to uplift all those older skirmishes I done and combine them into 1 pack but that maybe another month before it happens. The plane does come and crash lands thats what happens thre and some paratroopers manage to get behind the line if u dont watch, thats just kinda scripted event.

    Also you be happy to know that my buddy vashyo who is known as a good mapper made his first mission/skirmish on his original stalingrad map called volga assault, it was already playtested and it was great, look for it to be released very soon.

    I'm using the most recent patch and I can confirm the map is playable. I think its the AI that's at fault, supply trucks won't even drive over fallen trees yet you can "direct control" them over no problem.

    New skirmish released - [Soviet Union] Volga Assault , this is map & skirmish made by Vashyo.

    November 1942, Your mission is to help the russian conscripts assault and drive back the german defensive forces from the Volga River, you will gain money slowly and by clearing areas of enemies at the map. You will lose the map if you lose all men or if germans reach the docks. Mission is infantry only, so use caution when advancing.

    Hey. Nice work on the vanilla mow conversion. Got a bit of a problem though. I've played the missions up till the Penal Batalion mission on hard and it has been really easy and now suddenly impossible. I've managed to capture the first line after over 10 attempts by raiding the truck at the start and then just trying and trying and trying. All in all I must have retried like 30 times. There are just insane ammounts of those MG's around and wit the T26 I've managed to kill some AT guns and one mortar but i just cant advance to the T34. The AT guns on the hill anhillate everything and there is just so much enemy infantry around that advancing is not possible.

    Had some problems in the first mission too. Sometimes the KV1 could not move even after it was repaired and sometimes it could no longer load weapons even with ammo in the inventory.

    for first mission if u cant load ammo double click on it in inventory I will have to look at kv1 and that first mission again to make sure there is no stupid trigger that makes tank unusable after its broken, this was the case in number of these missions. I have sevastpool fully ready(that was ton of work) and night sneak is half way there. I will look over first mission, as for penal unit I actually made it easier than originally was cause u can kill nkvd soldiers in back and not have mission fail, the mission can be tough on hard though but its doable, if you cant do it on hard try normal. I will have full campaign package ready in day or 2 after some more playtesting.

    I tried to "cheat and leave my guys at the back and kill the "guards" but atleast some of the "friendlies" that turned hostile were unkillable, mainly a guy on the left heavy MG... I will try again on normal. I think the penal mission is still harder because the AI in MOWAS seems to notice enemies better. Atleast that is the impression I've gotten from playing DCG mods on both versions and seems that way even here. I guess there is nothing that could really be done about that unless removing some MG's or something. But that is probably not desireable.

    I will check about back ai turned hostile not killable but make sure you have friendly fire on if you are playing through mp/coop mode. As for difficulty yes on hard/heroic ai does notice even better especially in mowas. It is beatable though you just have to sneak more without firing earlier and innovate a bit, although those missions I would not play on hard unless using single player mode and saving or with number of players in coop.
