    Reskinning

How do you exactly recolour a skin whilst retaining the details?

Like Human skin how do i make blue version all the decals on?

If you are using Photoshop, its fairly easy. Just set the brush to soft or hard light.

Either way, you'll need some toyin' with the opacity, and perhaps, the flow

I haven't done anything with that, therefore i dont know. But i am certain the brush opacity can be tweaked. Give it a try

Seem's to be used for some Halo modding.. Also a DDS converter for Paint.Net in there

I personally use GIMP, http://www.gimp.org/windows/ and I can help with that if you get it.

£320+ is alot for a photo manipulation program. Better spent 6 premium games or on aid for 3rd world I say.. (o lord this post will probaly get deleted/edited for "bashing programs with stupid prices" )

Other metod is "color dependent picking" - you can pick a color from the picture and automaticaly make a mask out of it- alowing you to change that color with a click (and only that color) or painting over.

This feature is usualy present in any photo manipulation software.

PS: On a side note, always use diferent layers to make your changes! you can copy layers and merge them in the end.
This is basic for 99% of the readers in here but somewhere out there is the 1% guy pulling is hair after inadvertly destroying a 2 hour work.
