A tutorial for how to install DCG is here: How To Install Tutorial

A tutorial for how to play DCG is here: How To Play Tutorial

See the included readme.txt file for information about installing and playing DCG.

Delete any old versions of the mod before installing this one.

You MUST have Men of War Patch 1.17.5.1 (Hotfix 1.17.5.1) installed in order for this program to function properly. You can get a Full Patch 1.17.5.1 with Hotfix here:
    update_setup1.17.5.1-en-fr-is-sp-1c-full.exe

The compression format for this release is 7-Zip which is a free download from here:
    http://www.7-zip.org/

If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7 you will find installation much easier if Men of War is NOT installed in the C:\Program Files\ folder.

If you have a Steam version of Men of War, you may find installation to be tricky; be prepared to read the readme extra closely, search other threads in this forum for answers, and post questions if you need help.

    DCG Version 3.0 Changes
    Code:
    - Added new mission type: wave defense - defend for 12 minutes; 2 minute setup time; 5 AI waves at 2 minute intervals
    - Added tag to Settings.xml which can be used to disable timed mission types
    - Added much larger deployment area for player when defending a map already owned
    - Changed defense of captured invasion beach so player is not defending from the water
    - Changed counterattack against a captured invasion beach map so player starts at the map edge
    - Unchecked units on the Mission Planning screen now have reinforcement icons in battle so they can can be called in individually at any time (with a 10 second delay)
    - Added a campaign record report with statistics on mission success and troop losses to text window on the After Action Report screen
    - Fixed facing of vehicles in platoon deployment at start of battle
    - Fixed squad detection in save game files so that in-game changes to squad composition are reflected in DCG
    - Increased starting distance between platoon members, which helps them to avoid getting stuck and not moving
    - Fixed issue where objectives would appear in a setup zone on maps with custom zones which did not correspond to whether the unit was attacking or defending on the operation map - on rare occasions, this fix will result in objectives in very hard-to-reach places
    - Added airbase marker on operation map showing location of airbase infiltration missions
    - Made right-click unit category popup on operation map transparent and show check marks for available types
    - Fixed computer reserve (2nd wave) force not responding when attacked before activation
    - Bonus to maximum size of computer reserve (2nd wave) force when computer is attacking
    - Added a random chance for the player to acquire a bonus unit when the player loses a battle and does not have many points and troops
    - Increased the chance of player ally troops appearing in a mission when the player has few troops
    - Added F1 Help and link on main form
    - Artillery spotter breed now adjustable in nations.xml
    - Settings for air and artillery attack probability and for computer bonus units have been moved to nations.xml so they can be adjusted by theatre
    - Added mission points bonus setting to nations.xml to give the player 50% more or less points after each mission in certain theatres
    - Changed timed attack mission so that eliminating all enemy units no longer affects victory
    - Added new button to the Details popup on the Purchase screen which adds 100 fuel to the vehicle regardless of capacity (any excess fuel will be wasted when the mission begins, so use caution)
    - Added bonus for enemy soldiers lost and penalty for allied soldiers lost (1 point per 8 soldiers)
    - Added tags to Settings.xml which can be used to change the fx type associated with artillery spotting rounds and explosions
    - Added attackprobability setting to operations which determines the likelihood of units on the operation map attempting an attack
    - Added vertical bar next to units on the operation map showing the attackprobability for each unit
    - Unit attackprobability rises when a unit wins and drops when it loses; if it drops to zero, the unit is withdrawn from the operation
    - Changed some in-game text to reside in DCGmission.lng file in localization folder
    - Additional map by Zeke Wolff (Maki_51)
    - Additional Zeke Wolff vehicle: IP Carrier Mk IIA APC

DCG requires you to install two or three Microsoft files to run. If you have used previous versions of DCG be sure to check below as the XNA and J# files require updated versions. All the required Microsoft files are listed below:

You MUST have Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package installed in order for this program to function properly. Note that the .NET Framework 2.0 is included as an OS component on Windows Vista and the .NET Framework 3.5 is included as an OS component on Windows 7, so this step is not necessary in those or later operating systems.

This update is available for free from Microsoft's website. You can find it here:
32 bit .NET 2.0 (Not needed with Windows Vista or Windows 7)

If you have a 64 bit version of Windows, you should use the following link instead:
64 bit .NET 2.0 (Not needed with Windows Vista or Windows 7)

You MUST also have Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 3.0 installed in order for this program to function properly.

This download is available for free from Microsoft's website. You can find it here:
    XNA 3.0

You MUST also have Microsoft Visual J#® 2.0 Redistributable Package – Second Edition installed in order for this program to function properly.
(You may be prompted to uninstall a previous version of the Visual J# 2.0 Redistributable Package before you can install this)

This download is available for free from Microsoft's website. You can find it here:
    32 bit J# 2.0 SE

If you have a 64 bit version of Windows, you should use the following link instead:
    64 bit J# 2.0 SE

    A note about difficulty:
To get the most challenging experience out of DCG you will want to do the following things:
    1) Always save your mission result and continue, even when you lose the battle or lose all your men
    2) Play MoW with "Fog of War" set to realistic
    3) Activate the mini-mod included with DCG called "minimapfix"
    4) Play MoW on "Hard" difficulty

No doubt. I Have yet to finish a single campaign that shipped with MoW, but I've probably played 40 hours or so on the dcg.
I Guess what I'm saying is thanks, the dcg is right up my alley and since I've never played anything quite like it, I really appreciate all the effort you all have put into this.

When I loaded up 3.0 and saw all the different infantry options and the us vs. Ussr scenario my heart stopped for a minute.

Hey, first I would like to say thanks for uploading this, as your work is outstanding. But I would like to know if it works for MOW: Vietnam. It shows here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/dynamic-ca...-generator-dcg that it works for Vietnam, and after installing it (I didnt notice any options for Nam) and running it, I could not get it to work. If there is a way to get it working, please share. Thanks.

What problem exactly are you having?

DCG for MoW:Vietnam does install differently from the other versions.

Basically, you have to download the Vietnam version and extract all the files to the game folder. Then run campaign.exe. On the settings screen, select a saved game to use and click "extract all maps" and wait until it's complete. Then start a campaign and run MoW:Vietnam. You will find the DCG mission in the first bonus mission slot (after the two campaigns.)

Look at the tutorials on the moddb site and check the readme.txt file for more details.

    QUOTE]

Yeah after messing with it for a while, I realized it was two different ones. Clicking through all the links kept bringing me back here, so I downloaded this version, which is why it didnt work. Once I realized the nam version was different, I downloaded that. Cant believe it was only like 5mb though, hope to see a lot of mods for this in the future.

Excellent work also, once I got it working, I played the crap out of it. Think its better then the campaign already. Thanks guys.
