Men of War: Developers update 17

Just announced and already the first devupdate with the games new name "Men of War".
Yes, we will keep on posting news and very probably more and more until the release of the game!
Yet we are not done showing you all Japanese vehicles for the multiplayer, therefore once more Japan!
Type 90 75mm At-gun
Japanese small 47mm calibre at-gun was very soon obsolete when facing Allied tanks in the Pacific. Type 90 75mm gun, same gun as Ho-Ni 1 uses, is capable of destroying most medium Allied tanks.

Type 2 Ho-I
Imperial Japanese Army called the closed fire support tank a Gun Tank. The experimental model was base on the Chi-Ha chassis and the production model was based on the Chi-He. Ho-I was deployed in the gun tank company of the tank regiment to support Japanese infantry while advancing to fortified positions.

Type 1 Ho-Ha
The Type 1 Ho-Ha was an armored half-track used in limited numbers by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. Built by Hino Motors during 1944, this armored vehicle was very similar to the German SdKfz 251/1 and was built to provide the same infantry support and mobility as it's German counterpeace.

Re: Men of War: Developers update 17
Nice... but one question must be asked: This colorscheme, is this the only one available for the Japanese? Just asking cause most Japanese vehicles carried a quite vivid camouflagescheme consisting of green, brown and khaki, with yellow bands over them both. This single colorscheme wasnt that common (at least not according to my ref.books and photos) but it was used.
The halftrack is one ugly piece of hardware but you cant make it any prettier than it was...
Fun to see the new Japanese MG´s as well, but when will you show us some crazed banzai charging infantry guys led by officers wielding samuraiswords in one hand and a Nambu in the other?

Re: Men of War: Developers update 17
Well we basically kept one color scheme, since the vehicles of the other nations also have one scheme. Though we made a couple of camo textures for the Japanese.
I can't say about the soldiers yet, modellers are busy with North Africa, once this is done, they will switch over."If men would consider not so much where they differ, as wherein they agree, there would be far less of uncharitableness and angry feeling in the world" -Joseph Addison

Re: Men of War: Developers update 17
I read from the last update that there is a new 9 mission Soviet campaign and a 5 mission campaign for Allies and Germans. That doesn't seem like very many campaign missions, especially only 5 for both US and UK and only 5 for everyones favorite German army.

Very nice *Borat voice*! As always
I have the same opinion as Zeke, the Japs surely need other camouflages than that one.
I want pictures back to signatures :<

Oo I like the cover on the wheels at that cannon, it looks quite nice in it. I like the tank too, will fit with tons of infantry running after it..
That truck is really awesome in my opinion, the flag fits very good on the front!
A question, you do make Italy as single-player nation, and i wonder will you make enough units for Italy that we could add them in a mod as multiplayer? I mean, will they have every type all other nation have in multiplayer, cannons, mgs, infantry, medium tanks, heavy tanks, etc? Or will they just have some vehicles, like 5-10?
And do all units in Men of war get multiple texmods(not one), every nation have a snow, desert och standard texmod? And will you guys fix so all old units in FoW will get snow texmods and desert texmods? I've said this a few times, will the beloved Opel Blitz get a grey skin?, since all other german vehicles have a grey skin. Could you also make more "types" of some vehicles, like Opel blitz, without tent maybe?
I'm wondering one more thing, you say that you want to support Jasons DCG mod, will it be included into the Men of War maybe? Would be very nice since i can't get the mod to work for me.. And i hear everyone loves it.. :insane:
Also one last thing, previously you said you were going to upload some videos so we could download them, please do, i want to see them in nice quality, not youtube.

Re: Men of War: Developers update 17
Yes this is true, although those mission are in much better quality than FoW and gametime is around 1 hour for each + there are several bonusmissions in addition to the campaigns.

Skins will be like in Men of War beta.
Jasons DCG mod propably won't be on the disc it would, since the game is not finished and DCG will need some changes to full use Men of War.
I propably won't post those videos in high res, since the time they were done a lot of changes have been done."If men would consider not so much where they differ, as wherein they agree, there would be far less of uncharitableness and angry feeling in the world" -Joseph Addison

Re: Men of War: Developers update 17
Sorry for hijacking the thread, but exactly what is it that stops you from getting DCG to work? Have you downloaded the necessary files (read the readme to get the links to the MS software you need)? If you have done this already, PM me or mail me (you do have my email if I remember it correctly, however, I lost yours when I switched to my new PC) and I will give you an explanation in Swedish how to get it to work.
