Map making contest!
Men of War: Assault Squad - Map Making Contest!
Launch: 5th August
End date: 15th September
Winners!
1st place: deathciuciu

2nd place: asakuma

3rd place: Evilsausage

Congratulations, please contact me to gain your prizes!
Those maps will be available in the "MP Supply Pack - Charlie" soon!
On top of that, you might have noticed that we took a while to announce the winners, this is purely due to the fact that we have received a lot of great submissios and it was very hard to decide for the winners. To make a fair choice, we took all the time needed.
Because of how many ambitious pieces of work we received, we'll hand out one free DLC to everyone who has taken part in the contest for free, as a big thank you for your submission and hard work!
You can either chose between the "Skirmish Pack" or the "MP Supply Pack - Alpha" (steam required)
Please contact me if you partaked in the contest and let me know what prize you'd like to claim!

Super)))
I think it is better to make such cards as a 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 8x8 )))
Since the 1x1, 2x2, few plays ((
And one more thing to add that these cards as PORT 8x8, 6x6 RIVER, and many others from the game desert foxes )))
Thank you!Last edited by Oliver; 04-08-2011 at 14:13.

Can one submit more than 1 map?
If you're only going to use the winning maps, are we free to publish the maps that did not win ?

You can submit several maps, but quality comes before quantity.
If your map doesn't win, you can publish the map freely after the contest winners are announced.
Depending on the amount of submissions and their quality, it's also possible that we create a free community map pack afterwards with all the great maps that didn't get in the top 3."If men would consider not so much where they differ, as wherein they agree, there would be far less of uncharitableness and angry feeling in the world" -Joseph Addison

You should use standard. Also, wondering if there is any prefered or limit on the polygon size of the map?"If men would consider not so much where they differ, as wherein they agree, there would be far less of uncharitableness and angry feeling in the world" -Joseph Addison

Congratulations & bravo pack
Hello!
Thanks to DMS for have organized this "map contest" and congratulations to the 3 winners!
Their maps seem very pretty!
You said "everyone who has taken part in the contest for free can either chose between the "Skirmish Pack" or the "MP Supply Pack - Alpha" (steam required)"
I've proposed 2 maps for the contest but i'd already buy this 2 packs..
I was thinking if it could possible to receive the "bravo" pack, that i've not yet?
The map contest is a great thing for all the gamers and should be done again (at least 2 time per year): good thing for mappers and for the game!
And also a "mod contest" could be a good thing, but in this case, DMS should give a precise theme for a balanced competition (for exemple "a skirmish mission for 4 players" at Montecassino in Marsh 1944, or "a solo mission in Finland in July 1941"..).You just have to choose one of the great battles of WWII and give your wishes!
Regards.
