different levels of crews
Hello
I have a question concerning the different crews for DCG.
What are the differences for instance between a crew l1 and a crew l4 ?
I saw that the crews have differents weapons, but conerning the tank itself,
is there a difference between the different levels of the crews ?
Is the tank better with a crew level 4 for instance ?
Thanks !

Re: different levels of crews
The levels of crews does not effect tank. It mainly effects the equipment they carry and how skilled they are w/ small arms. It is not possible to link the skill of a human to the weapon or performance of a vehicle.

Re: different levels of crews
Thans you Ty2903 for your answer.
In this case to create for instance a new veteran tiger with a better line of sight, a better accuracy, a better reload time, and a better speed. i saw that in MOWAS, Digitalmindsoft did something similar for their vet tiger (not for line of sight and speed, but i would like to include it).
Is it easy to do ? I mean i have to duplicate for instance tiger to another vet tiger and modify some values ?
And to differenciate for instance vet tiger to regular tiger, i would like to add a tag for the tank.
I see that it seems possible directly in the editor (if i good remember, the "tag" option ?)
Thanks.

Re: different levels of crews
You can create a veteran Tiger tank, but since one of the main features in DCG is that you can capture units then you would, if playing against the Germans, be able to capture two versions. This would still not have the desired effect of crews having something to do with how well a unit preformed.
The developers would have to have add in a skill set to adjust aspects of how people adjust how well a vehicle preforms. One would think this would have been already a feature but since less attention has been devoted to the role playing potential this is an area that perhaps they will work on at a later date.
Perhaps make skill trees for men to progress thru or perhaps some better tracking of actions taken so an auto assignment could be done giving skills to the areas used. Such as a rifleman who hits his target gets better over time using a rifle. Then a vehicle operator would get better doing vehicle related tasks, such as driving, shooting, loading.
But of course we always have more ideas than time to make them happen, we just have to work on the ones we are able to do the easiest or the ones we want the most.

Re: different levels of crews
Hello Trog
You are right, better will be to have real crew with differents skills like CM or TOW.
Will be cool if DMS could work on this. (and the morale aspect). The game will become nearly perfect !
PS : i own MOWAS (who is still very good and very polished game and interresting new features) but i still play MOW as for now they have
more different levels of squads (with DCG units). So i will move to MOWAS after that (saw a post speaking for the end of summer !)
