But ufortunately both were only produced as prototypes (ie. one or two examples) and unlike their German counterparts they werent heavily armored, just 30mm max of armor...

Nah, I would prefer to have more of the medium types, Chi-He, Chi-Ha and Hi-No´s (a tank destroyer variant of the Chi-Ha armed with a 75mm quite good AT-gun carried in a open turret) and of course, officers armed with Samuraiswords (No-Dachi?) but maybe not the suicide equipment the Japaneses made heavily use of in the last stage of the WWII (you should see the numbers of suicide units they had when they decided to surrender... Horrific numbers...).

Re: Outfront 2: Christmas present
That's not correct, they had quite good armor since it was based on the Chi-Ri chassis. And imagine those beasts having weaker armor than a Chi-HeBut ufortunately both were only produced as prototypes (ie. one or two examples) and unlike their German counterparts they werent heavily armored, just 30mm max of armor... But they are cool!

Re: Outfront 2: Christmas present
Ah a Japanese Chi-ha. I remember playing as them in Blitzkrieg and BF1942. Any chance of a beautifully crafted Japanese landing craft. I knew there was names of Japanese weapons in the editor but here is a superb Tank.
When i see a Japanese tank i smell Naval units...

Re: Outfront 2: Christmas present
Sorry, I misread my Polish/English bi-lingual reference book. The gun armor was 30mm thick, the main vehicle armor was 180mm thick. But they never did see combat since even if the gun excisted, the vehicle itself wasn´t fully developed when the war ended. Even the Chi-Ri you mentions wasn´t fully developed when the war ended, but yes, if it had been, then the US Shermans would have been in for some serious tank vs. tank fighting, instead of just wading thru the small, lightly armored Japanese tanks. And hey, if you really is going to make (if I understood you right) a SP campaign involving the Pacific battles, then you really should add some more details on the Shermans, like nails, wooden planks, barbed wire, etc. The US tankers came up with the most unusual ideas in their attempts to stop the Japanese infantry from placing demolition charges on the US tanks. They look awful but kinda cool anyway.
You guys seem to have some kind of love for strange, rare and big machines... :P Why not give us some more common tanks which actually did see action instead)
And before you ask, yep, I do like the rare big beasts as well, but I tend to like games that is historical correct and realistic rather than having some rare cool machines to play with (just my opinion though). I even refused to play BF1942 because of seeing stg44´s and Wespe 105mm SP artillery in the desert... :P
