Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
I'm fairly sure we're gonna see performance improvements in the first patch.

Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
Only problem is, the 25 FPS bug has been in the GEM engine since the day it was developed, so the developers would have to pull some magic out of their sleeves to iron it out.

Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
ATI RADEON HD4850
4GB DDR3 1333MHZ RAM
PENTIUM Q9550
All in maximum.
Running at 30 FPS without any crashes or freezing. When things get hot, 25 fps but it does not last.

Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
I have ATi 4850, Q6600, 2gb ram and Assault Squad runs way better than the previous Men of War's. I have everything maxed out with SSAA, Vsync and game is running nicely, only sometimes it lags.

Average fps is around 40-60

Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
Hi
You are really lucky to have this game running smoothly, cause I've just upgrade my PC with a intel i5 760 and fueled it with 2x2Go GSkill DDR3 + AMD Radeon 6870 and it's still run bad on MP.
So the observation are:
It's smoother in general, i can put almost all graphic option to the max, BUT when I change the camero to a more horizontal view and there are some units ... I get really bad fps drops ... I monitor it with fraps and it tells me that the fps is around 12 fps... and this can stay form many seconds ...
So for my side I can say AMD Radeon have a big, huge issue with the game...
I will try to borrow an nvidia 460 FTX to compare, and let you know

Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
I tried RadeonPro and it doesn't increase fps. The best perfomance is turn off shadow or set it low. Minimizing distance to view increase fps too.
I think it's problem of game engine, so it need to optimize the engine code :typing: to improve perfomance. Other things don't matter.

Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
Anyone have any ideas for what to do with a 4870 with 1 gig of ram on the card and a quadcore system?

Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
I am wondering if disabling hyperthreading, aka intel HT technology in bios on pcs that run i7 quad core cpus could help with this game. Someone wrote thats the case, but I would love to see actual proof as in actual tests done.

Re: Finally Got The Game Running Smooth!
I tried RadeonPro and it definitely seemed to help. The time when it most seems to matter for me is when I'm using direct control.
Now, if I could only find something like it to improve my Comcast Cable connection...
