Mine's a one disc patched thing! I spent £5 on it but i already love it dearly
Thanks for the hint, i've already fixed the problem by doing something else that i shouldn't talk about. I'm new here and i don't want to break forum rules, but if anyone else gets the same problem PM me for a fix.

Okay, very amusing. How do we do that then?
I thought I was reasonably fluent at Soldiers until I tried this mission. Is it possible or are you having a laugh?
The obvious thing to do is mine the approaches both for vehicles and infantry but there is not enough time to do it properly before they arrive (and it spoils it to watch over and over to learn vehicles' waypoints to know where to mine them).
Any tips?
I have the editor installed though not really used it yet. One option is to extend the preparation time; how do I do that?
(By the way previous posts imply the 2.31 patch is done but I assume it is not yet; I can't find it here or on your downloads site, Albus)

Patch to 2.31 not ready yet .
In this patch we will modificate this mission, but there is a trick to win ( i am not going to say it yet
)
we incremented a few time to attack and put 3 antipersonnel mine in each soldier at start.

Meanwhile I did Udarnik and Krutik yesterday - although embarassingly, without managing to keep all my men alive... I am pretty sure I could manage it for Krutik; not sure about Udarnik though. That was an excellent mission (they all are) and I guess I can 'optimise' the defence on that one with trial and error in placing the mines. Fortunately I made a save game after clearing the town and just before taking out two enemy in a trench that triggers their reinforcements so it is easy to play with that one (I sneaked to the first objective point up the side of the screen and started the attack from the rear, which was easier than a frontal charge).
I'm still pondering 250bd but at least if you change it so they have some mines in the inventories it will save some time searching the crates at the start. As for the 'trick' to the mission...hmmm..... :brickwall:

Yesterday night, we ( dinsen, PV11+, Amok_Fi, cazamascachapas and Albus ) try 250 Blau Division mission using the "trick" in multiplayer mode.
Result : Mission Failure
Well the first mission ( the assault ) was a successful.
, but we failed to second mission... all ambulance was destroyed..... may be this night we will try another time.

So you guys write missions that are too difficut even for yourselves - AND playing together co-op? :wilting:
Today I have been looking at Lake Ilmen. That's a BIG map! Not too difficult this one, although I have had a lot of corrupted save games that made it a lot longer than needed... Another problem I found was that when I stole a T-70 I could only put two crewmen inside and the rest sat on the outside. I think it still operated as a fully crewed tank even though they were not inside it (but very vulnerable out there!).

You can beat the mission in single player but I believe it's far more fun trying to figure it out than having someone walk you through it. Just make good use of those mines while you can
. In some respects this mission is very similar to the Castle(Brest Fortress) mod at the initial stages. Very tough and a puzzle to figure out
.
