sometimes this game is extremely choppy online!
When I make a game and play with myselfe there is never any lag or choppyness but always when I play with others it's very choppy. Rarely I get to play a game that runs great
I've got an Icore7 3,6ghz, 6gb memory 5870 videocard so it's not me, it's the game.
It's not connection since I only join games with 52-100ms
Why do I always get messages that some people are slowing down the game?

Because a huge amount of people insist on playing 6v6 games on their Pentium 2s. Besides ping, also check the performance bars next to their names. Less then 3 bars is a bad sign.
Playing online as [EPIC]Nowotny

Re: sometimes this game is extremely choppy online!
Yeah, your system seems fine, the main thing to do, is make sure that you don't play with people with high pings (somewhere between 200 - 300 ping) and make sure your games are only with people with high rated pcs (at least 3 performance bars) and you shouldn't have a problem. Also, how big of games do you play in, 2v2, 5v5? Try playing in smaller games until you sort this out. Those three factors can make a game almost unplayable if say a couple of guys in a 5 v 5 have like 300 ping and then bad computers also. Will lag the whole game. Hope that helps

Okay but why do I have to suffer because others have crappy computers?

Because you want to play with them...
If you don't want to play with them, then... don't.
EDIT: If you wanted the game to "fix" this, then people who experience choppiness will be out of sync with those who don't, making play all but impossible (like having a ping in the thousands).

Because their game is running slower due to lag, and to keep in sync with your opponent your game needs to slow down as well.

Either the game has lower requirements (which means taking things out), you play out of sync (very poor idea) or you live with the delays when you choose to play with people who don't have supercomputers.
There's a performance bar in the lobby, if you don't want to be slowed down then only play with people who have 3+ bars.

Re: sometimes this game is extremely choppy online!
Do the pro test
1. Turn all your shift down/off except textures.
2. Also cut your view distance in half
Test your frame count alone. Test your frame count in a match like 3v3 village. Then come back here and lets talk some more.
i did this with a 4870 card and it helps but you can still be screwed by other players who make the game slow and delayed. I don't think the processor means much for this game since it may only be using 1 core.
This game is optimized for **** with it being a beta and all.

Re: sometimes this game is extremely choppy online!
Lower computer rating (3 bars and lower) seems to affect the games more than ping so long as ping is less than 300 and consistent. So Id say avoid the lower computer rating players first. The host should really sort this out in the lobby and other users encourage him to kick low rated computers especially for the high player maps (more than 4).
