Re: What do you love most?

I tell you the single best thing in my experience about Soldiers HOW22 mp )

enemy british troops tried to encircle me, I held a small farm. I noticed Elite "red hat" infantry sneaking closer and closer, although, not even observed closely whats happening. Now here comes the fun part:

Flak opens sweeping fire from behind the farm building ) Now you can imagine , the 20mm totally obliterated some 40*40meter area and so it was ...

Do you mean MoW? Dunno. Never played that yet.

Anyway I choose the beautiful yet dynamically destructible environment.

If I chould choose to assign second place, it would be manual control of course.

like everyone the realism (destruction and physics, bullet ricochets, armor penetration, the cover system), the graphics and the lvl of detail given to the units, the direct control, the missions beeing hard (at last its not a 6h walktrough game). and MODABILITY almost everything can be done

Agree with these simple concepts. I love war simulation games and can't stress how important it is to research historical weapon accuracy. I don't like having lots of units to control because I have other games for that. I really like the inventory management for SHOWW2 and the weight system. The simple UI that came with SHOWW2.

The realistic weapon damages and muzzle velocities, I.E. k98 shooting at 750 meters a second and killing someone in one shot through the correct hitboxes like head, chest, stomach. And tanks/artillary rounds shooting at the correct velocity, there is no reason for them to be moving so slow. Oh yeah, and bazookas/schrecks that don't shoot at 3 feet per second! Basically realistic weapons is what I want, if my Tiger's 88mm gun has an effective range of over 1,000 meters, then I expect it to shoot that far even if it's beyond my visual range.

The randomness is always fun, but cone of fire sucks though. Good AI that can defend itself when I am taking care of something else, but not so independent that it doesn't need my help at all. Versatility of the battlefield being able to manipulate things one way or another. All of the correct weapons and vehicles that were used in the war.

It sounds like I am praising SHOWW2 and pointing out FoW's flaws, but there's a reason why SHOWW2 got a better overall score than FoW. Faces of War gives better graphics, but SHOWW2 is the soul.
