I dont think he did ,the assets he's talking about are in the game.pak file and the e1 e2 e3 .pak ,
which are not encrypted .
obviously the editor dont work because it cant open the localization.pak , if somehow we could
decrypt it there are pretty good chances the editor would have work (then again maybe not ) .Last edited by MenOfPeace; 14-09-2011 at 20:06.

Can you tell us please, how we can make a mod of MoW:Vietnam, that can be moved to Assault Squad as a mod?
This would be very important, I am waiting for this game a long time, and because I am a MoW modder, I am much more intrested in the Editor than the very low quality built-in missions.

It would be better for all of you who want to see an editor etc for MoW:Vietnam to go to http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/forumdisplay.php?f=179 and post your complains there (they already have a 3 page long thread about an editor for Vietnam). I´m not 100% sure if the MoW:Vietnam dev´s even read the posts here at DMS.

I tried that, it didnt work. AS Editor just crash to dektop with some error message. Now I must reinstall the AS. I copyed the content of the paks into the AS's pak files with Total Commander.
Should I copy their contents to AS/mod folder? Wont I need a correct mod.info file there?Last edited by bgabor; 15-09-2011 at 19:46.

yes it does work .

You dont need to touch AS pak's , you just recreate the same folder path as it
was in the V pak file , for example you open e1.pak you have resource/entity/vehicles/btr/m113 ,
so you copy the /m113 folder and then paste it in the AS folder in the same folders structure/path ,
a mod folder should work as well , i did it with original MOW gem not AS though .
and many of the assets needs additional editing of the files , so when the editor
crush read those messages and edit the files accordingly .
for the helis additional files from the game.pak should have been imported as well
from the properties folder .
it's not smooth process though , many tweaks needed to be done in order for some things to
work properly (and some dont work at all , but with additional tweaking that might change) .Last edited by MenOfPeace; 16-09-2011 at 02:49.

I tried all variations, copyed the folders to their places, trying to recreate the original paths. I did not work for me, because the inventory weapons(M-16 etc) are missing, and the editor CTDs when most vehicles are selected. Unfortunately, I cannot understand those things in the CTD dialogs, so I dont know where to start those tweaks, and how to do them. I tried the same process with AS and Men of War.
I hope so much that someone will make a mod of the Vietnam's files, so everyone could use Vietnam's content for the editors easily.
