my cd key has been blocked somehow, what the freak happened?

my gamespy id for the game is "rogersmithpipe". please tell me what i did wrong or why i was blocked. i payed for this game and did nothing wrong to my knowledge. i was watching adult swim and eating when my buddy was playing, he tells me that i was blocked. i was like, what did you do. he said he did nothing. please fill me in.

To the OP: check out the last post on this page, this is the list of temporary MoW bans. From what I read there, your account is banned until 29/05 for foul language in the lobby. OMG_Eulogy is banned until 3/06 for excessive obscene flooding of the lobby chatroom.

In case it makes you wonder, the lobby is prefaced by a warning against swearing, verbal abuse, and flooding, which says your CD-key may be blocked temporarily for violations.

What you definitely should do is to make sure you are not writing into the main lobby by mistake when you are joining a game lobby. Some players simply forget to change the target chat back and flood the main chat for all others, or don't watch their language as they should do.

Before anyone has a heart attack, I am sure they wrote 29 June and 3 July by mistake. In the original it's 29/05 and 3/06 (3-day and 7-day ban) and this is in line with the long-established moderating practice applied to Russian speakers in the lobby.

Wouldn't it be possible to temporarily revoke the chatting privileges rather than temporarily blocking the player from playing altogether? While I dislike people who behave rudely, I don't think they should be completely blocked from playing the game, since they did pay for the game after all, and they do make up traffic.

How strict are the rules anyways? Were the players in question overdoing it, or did they basically just say the f-word? Also, is there anything that can lead to a permanent ban, or a really long one?

ive just been baned for 7 days for swearing in a lobby for adults this game is rated m!.. and flooding the lobby with a link i was showing to people where to find the gsm mod?? like wtf??? i paid ****ing 55bucks for this game? to be banned for something i paid for? best way.. shouldnt you really be putting in your effort in to releasing patch with the japs in it?? this game is rated mature..... swearing is something we all do.. even you.. best way, someone should of taken you wankers to count by now for false advertisement.. japan playable nation is writen on the back of the retail box you designed.... and its been MONTHS SINCE WE WERE TOLD THE PATCH WOULD BE RIGHT OUT BEFORE RELEASE OF THE GAME IN NORTH AMERICAN.. STOP WASTING TIME TO SEE IF PEOPLE ARE SWEARING IN CHAT.. AND START WORKING ON THAT PATCH WE PAID FOR MONTHS AGO!!!
