Re: Developers Update 10
Too bad since the Ausf. D could´ve been used as a basis for most of the other (early) versions and the Ausf. E. OK, I guess that I´ll have to try to get the SHOWW2 Ausf. D to work in FoW instead. Thanks for the reply!

Re: Developers Update 10
Filon, select the vehicle, check the "list" (properties) and look at details. Uncheck random, then you can choose diffrent options for the "looks" of the vehicles! It works with quite many vehicles;D. A lovely feature that i love

Re: Developers Update 10
Actually those things are no errors, as stated by Mushroomcar, they are more or less different details of the tanks.

Re: Developers Update 10
Well,the Tiger is missing one rear track guard,which can't be added via details

Might want to fix that.

Re: Developers Update 10
Yeah but so the Tiger looks more used, i hate tanks that look like they were fresh from factory. But most vehicles got that details that spawn different to make the tanks look more real, cause not every same tank look like the same. Its a great feature.

Re: Developers Update 10
Yeah,nothing against that but like it is now,every Tiger is missing that rear track guard.
At least add the option to add it via details.

Re: Developers Update 10
Will the addon have a increased time limit in MP? 60 minutes does go by fast, and a longer game would be more fun. And also would it be possible to add a detail option for Infantry too? So one detail would be a different weapon and uniform, and another a different face...etc. And could you add a feature that when you clicked on the top floor of a house for example, the soldier selected would go up the stairs, and the soldier could move around on that floor, instead of having to stand at a window? And finally, will their be a feature which allows enhanced "options" for the player, as in when a Tank is hidden between trees or bushes, it gets a camoflauge "bonus", or some realistic options, like tracks staying on the ground(not disappearing) allowing a skilled player to be able to find or ambush the tank producing those tracks? Feew! That was long!
Thanks

Re: Developers Update 10
No, it would drop the performance significally.And also would it be possible to add a detail option for Infantry too? So one detail would be a different weapon and uniform, and another a different face...etc.
To the 60mins, maybe I don't know yet. No the soldiers won't be able to move in buildings, as it is not controlable for the player.
The game already calculates the field of view.And finally, will their be a feature which allows enhanced "options" for the player, as in when a Tank is hidden between trees or bushes, it gets a camoflauge "bonus","If men would consider not so much where they differ, as wherein they agree, there would be far less of uncharitableness and angry feeling in the world" -Joseph Addison

Missing Tiger Details
Regarding the missing right rear mud guard, it is really an easy fix. Just open up the .MDL file of the Tiger. Copy the four lines that deals with "detail3" (which is the left rear mud guard) and paste the copy just under the "detail3". Then rename your copy of detail3 as detail4 and change the position for the side location, if you don´t do this, your new rear mud guard will end up in the same position as the new one. To make life even easier, just copy these lines:
{bone "detail4"
{Position -0.464034 -27.1828 14.3773}
{VolumeView "detail3.ply"}
}
and add them just under the "detail3" in the .MDL file. You´ll now end up with a Tiger that can have one missing rear mud guard, or both missing, or both in place. You might need to do the same with the damaged .MDL files, but I haven´t check this yet. However, it is as easy to do as the above and besides, when the tank has exploded, the rear mudguard will most likely have been destroyed (since they are only made from thin sheet metal) and thus, no real need to bother about them in the damage .MDL files.
