Re: [MoW] GSM 2009 finally non-beta
Ok I tried new version, seems alot more polished... couple of things I dont understand, sherman 2 with 105mm howitzer costs 50 points and penetration is less than that of sherman 2 that costs 30 points?
Also where are all the new weapons like tommy drum?
p.s.
does anyone know what is the reason that developers decided to shrink the cap point zone (green circle) in victory flag and battlezones?

Re: [MoW] GSM 2009 finally non-beta
That's because the Sherman howitzer is just what you said yourself when you said its name:Ok I tried new version, seems alot more polished... couple of things I dont understand, sherman 2 with 105mm howitzer costs 50 points and penetration is less than that of sherman 2 that costs 30 points?
It's an howitzer, thus an artillery piece not meant to take down other tanks but mean to be used as, well, an artillery piece. It's uses it thus oriented toward anti-infantry or busting fortifications such as troops entrenched in an house or such. It<s not meant to take down other tanks.
Edit: Also recalls that a gun's caliber is not the only thing involved in it's AT capacities. Its velocity and the nature of the shell that's going to be fired will also play a big part. That's why for example that the long barelled 50mm Panzer 3 will be more efficient against other vehicles than the short-barelled 75mm Panzer 3.
Or that the 57mm(iirc) russian Zis-2 is an infantry anti-tank gun more efficient than the 75mm Zis-3 that is rather mean as a field gun, meant to take down light vehicles or infantry with it's heavier(but slower) shells and it's faster rate of fire.

Hmm I think you should remake fog of war for certain units because, although realistic, maps are too small for current settings. And i think flakpanzer 2nd fog of war(for spotting vehicles) is bugged because it stretches for 100m atleast.

Re: [MoW] GSM 2009 finally non-beta
And so it should have... since the 6-pounder gun was indeed more powerful than the 75mm cannon... The advantage of the 75mm gun is that it could fire HE shells, which the 6-pounder wasnt able to do.

it is compatible for singleplayer too, infantry weapon changes and gun data will change sp.
thx zecke, i wanted to write exactly the same
the only compromise i had to take is to give 6pdr. guns HE, cause they dont really have other guns avaiable for the use of he
i dont know why the isu152 disapears, seems the buymenue is bugged with too many vehicles, as it was in soldiers.
