    Start up error

After searching through the forums for this problem, I still can't resolve it. It happens when I click on my shortcut. Either the message appears on the main start up screen or it locks up and I have to turn the power off on my computer b/c it locks up. I've tried deleting files under my games (men of war folder under my documents, my games, men of war,) as mentioned in previous posts. Did not work. Here's the error message below. If I tried deleting the whole MOW folder, it creates a new folder when I restart the computer. I've tried to delete the profile folder, same thing. I have not downloaded any patches or install any patches. Any suggestions. Just bought this game from newegg 3 days ago.  I'm running vista 64bit w/ 6gb of ram w/ i7 965

    thanks,

You should try the multiplayer only patch:
    viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2648

Install and run the multiplayer executable, than report.

    Re: Start up error

installed patch 1.11.3 and multiplayer works fine. however, singleplayer does not. I removed the 2.pat and 3.pat files from the main directory as stated in ur patch notes and clicked on my MOW icon. still locks my pc up or the same error message.

Go to multiplayer and remove the "sandbag" icon from your middle bar.

    Instict,

Appreciate the advice. I have a question. You mentioned about removing the sandbag from the middle bar. How do you remove it? Sorry if I sound retarded and it's so obvious. I looked everywhere for sandbag in my MOW files under C:\Program Filesx86\Aspyr\Men of War. I tried searching for sandbag in the technical support area and noticed 1.pat file was mentioned. Is the 1.pat file the sandbag file?

I also looked under the options menu in the multiplayer mode to see if I could delete the sandbag icon. Didn't see an option nor did I think that was possible.
