Re: [WIP] The Italian Nation - DCG future project
Italians never really had much in the tank department. Their heaviest tank was the Armato P40. It was a 26-ton tank comparable to the Sherman, produced late in the war in single-digit numbers (dont think any actually saw combat). Actually, the Sherman had heavier armor.
One of the most common tanks in the Italian army were tanks that utilized about 42mm of armor and a 47mm gun. Those were pretty much the heaviest 'common' tanks the Italians had.

Re: [WIP] The Italian Nation - DCG future project
The only issues with italy is that even on the prototype tables(as far as I know) they never had any design close to the Tiger I(unlike the japanese).
However, they seem to have been
A:
-Heavy user of HEAT rounds and it seem in appreciable amounts too since it was their main form of AT.
And B:
-Actually "fans" of self-propelled guns vehicles, having many series of vehicles in all way at least equivalent if not almost as efficient as the german's own stugs with similar armor. Notable is the fact that rather than using them purely as assault gun, they often used their "Semovente"(said self-propelled tanks) as divisional artillery. Most of the semovente had 75mm guns and decent armor. Though some models had armor as light as 30mm, it seem quite a few ranked as much as 106mm frontal plating(even if vertical one) which japanese can't really boast until their most advanced prototype tanks... and one of their Semovente also sported a 105mm main gun(though I am not sure of it's anti-armor characteristics).
Also notable on the italian side is the infamous Canone da 90/53, a AA/AT gun superior to even the german 88mm, also happening to have been mouted on both a truck and lightly armored tracked self-propelled gun chassis: drawings
Plus, in prototypes they also produced the semovente da 149, a self-propelled 149mm artillery gun with great range: Drawings - Info

Re: [WIP] The Italian Nation - DCG future project
So their tanks will probably not have a lot of armor, but will be more than capable in the gun department? so as long as i shoot first, i should have the advantage?

Re: [WIP] The Italian Nation - DCG future project
Actually, I would regard their actual AT as similar to most japanese guns(possibly inferior with AP rounds, in this case HEAT becoming more of an "equalizer"), but it is in the artillery/self-propelled artillery department that I would imagine them actually shining most, due to their amount of units that would probably be capable of fitting artillery roles.
