Health bar - possible to remove?

Is it possible to remove the health bar that appears when shooting enemy infantry?

Yep it's possible to remove it, and mods have done this in the past too. For example, Storm over Europe.
How to exactly do this I have no idea; for I am no modder.

I tried to remove it, but I can't find the graphic files for the health bar.
Only for the bars in the HUD, but not the one thats over the soldiers.

    +1 (don´t know the answer)
They look very arcadish and not in line with the rest of the game.
Don´t mind seeing it on the Hud as it can be understand as an abstract representation off a tired or shocked soldier, but the colorful bars in game are really just a left over from past games..

They pop up when damage happens so they must be tied to the damage model some how.

So if it has been done in the past, why can't it be done now? It just may be trickier to do.

maybe they hardcoded it to save resources?

we could ask it to be changeable in a upcoming patch?
