Re: Do we need a blacklist system?
Very nice to hear that there's a private blacklist system now! Now it will be easier to avoid people who disconnect in the middle of a round on a regular basis, teamkills, and griefs in various other ways.

Re: Do we need a blacklist system?
SS-Kommando, the developers didn't have stated there will be a private blacklist system. Although i believe (and hope) they must have ment that. More specific info on this subject will be welcome developers!

It does appear that's the case, judging by Shiba's message, since he basically grouped it together with the private friends system there.

You are right that it appears that way.It does appear that's the case, judging by Shiba's message, since he basically grouped it together with the private friends system there.

Re: Do we need a blacklist system?
Indeed, it's already in the released C.I.S. version of the game, both the friends' list and blacklist are private, thank log for that. However, in addition to this the developers are moderating the lobby and issuing temporary bans for misconduct. While it's relatively easy to do in an exclusively Russian-speaking lobby, I don't see how this can be effective when lots of different nations join the fun though.

Re: Do we need a blacklist system?
Just launched beta for first time, entered a game with a free slot and the first thing I read is a racial attack in a private message by one loud member of this forum:
"a ver ruso mierda"
Despite my having blacklisted him right away, the stream of PM insults poured through. What do we do? It appears the blacklist does not shield you from slur. Is the game chat going to be moderated at all? Seems to be still a valid concern.

Reported insults (screenshots) cause banning for the violator .

Re: Do we need a blacklist system?
Will insults later, if screenshotted, be enough to permanently ban a player from Men of War entirely? Or is this just for the Beta? Also, where will the line go? WIll it for instance be forbidden to express controversial opinions such as National Socialism and Racism?

Re: Do we need a blacklist system?
There won't be permanent bans for most of the cases, but time bans. However you simply provide the screenshot to us and we will check it for reliability.
Everything that is not allowed in the forums is not allowed in the game chat either."If men would consider not so much where they differ, as wherein they agree, there would be far less of uncharitableness and angry feeling in the world" -Joseph Addison
