Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
Since there have been alot of talking about the prototype tanks should be ingame or not i thought i make a poll to see what the majority of the people want.
We all know that if we Remove them we would have to think of something else because else it would just not be balanced.....

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
point 4 should be : remover the Prototypes and add APCR / APDS Ammo to the US (76 & 90mm) and Brits (76mm) so they can handle Germans Heavies better.

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
While I voted for the first, let's make it full realism. Any vehicles that appeared in WW2 should stay in game. KT/JT and other german TD/heavies would count, same with the super pershing etc.
Game Balance > Historical Accuracy - If you can't accept proper moderation of either, you deserve neither.

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
While i srly doubt the Devs would even consider to remove the prototype tanks in the first place i just thought it would be fun to see what the people´s thoughts are on this subject..

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
not too interesting poll cuz it misses the point entirely, most ppl who want to "throw out" ( I, for instance) r talkin about mods. The more officially endorsed mods trying to to find path around the present slugfest / rallyfest ~ the better. I like the game as it is, but after the heavies appear it starts to get annoying . I hope for bigger maps and instead of 5v5 , somewhat better graphics too, for example i dont like explosion gfx as it is. They could just step up with every ammo type, for example 88mm would look like present 122mm , 122mm would look like katyusha rocket poof. (75 mm can have the su100 type HE blow, it seems mediate between 88 and 122) Now i wonder if troops can be resized to appear smaller compared to vehicles LOL.
Edit: just tested it, if you get the rockets out of ammu truck and ignite it with small caliber (even AP round works) AT gun. Fps on screen: 100
single rocket poof ~ 92-94 FPS ~ bearable drop
7 rocket poof ~ 74 - 80 FPS ~ not quite cool
So, what the hell? Doesnt seem too optimized, bringing computer to its knees intentionally - I mean the builtin rocket launcher stuff.

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
btw lets be picky about "hidden details" now ( hidden because you dont get it if you re "downright boneheaded" and patronize turtle tanks LMAO )
1. HE shells thrown out of ammo truck dissapear when ignited with HE round
2. HE shells thrown out of the "backpack" of the infantry scatter when shot with HE round (btw it shouldnt be thrown, as devs should just reverse the pick up procedure , but doesnt seem to find time for things liek that )
3. Dynamite, no ignition unless used as "it should" ... (make it remote pls)
4. Barrel filled with 250L fuel -> underwhelming result when ignited ( meh
)
5. Rocket, when thrown out of truck, dissapear, but ignites when placed by infantry , maybe it has to be placed carefully with care or it breaks and FAILs
please, less super tanks, and more such details i talk bout . I' d also disable global item highlight , pretty dumb if you wanna play tricky as I wrote above

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
also it'd be hell a funny, if we look further the present "i stole a vehicle so cool , yay" (and continues trying to do that even in the heat of the battle), you could just set up charges when sneaking out of enemy territory, and when you see guy tries to capture it or use it as cover, blow it up with multiple TNT charge ~ remotely.

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
I voted for "Nr4. Remove the Prototype tanks an keep the King tiger an Jagdtiger the allies just have to deal with it." obviously.

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
And now we get to the point of fully giving the advantage to the Germans. You can knock off prototypes - as long i am able to dedicate atleast 3 medium tanks to attack a Tiger, that they cost like a Tiger. Otherwise, Turtle, Centurion, IS3 - FTW
Ogon'... Ogon'... i eto vse chto ya znayo...

Re: Prototype tanks Balance or Realism?
The best solution would be to remove the prototypes and make higher prices and timers on the meds. and heavys fighting with lights and mediums is fun but after the Panther comes the whole battlefield will change (i mean in good hands). I think the first beta was much more better in ballancing.Panther price should be higher than the tiger. A1 Shermans ,T-34/76 and Pz-4G prices have to be lower, 10 points or something.
AI is still too dumb , and too accurate when shooting moving vehicles it kills the direct control. When some wheeld "monster" coming i always use AI shooting and most of the mid ranges only exeption when iam flanking in mid range. Its not a bug its a feature :)
