Is there such kind of camera in the GEM?
Hello, everybody, this is my first topic, so i hope it is not meaningless, any reply will be appreciated.
In GEM, i am thirsty for a camera that can be focus on certain part, such as the soldier's shoulder, vehicle's forside or rear, and something else. I think this will be greatly helpful when we want to make a trace to a moving entity, and it should be cool. :wow:
If you knows there is already such camera, then would you tell me how to do it?
Otherwise, i hope the camera function will be improved in future.

Re: Is there such kind of camera in the GEM?
Thank you for your reply. But the tutorial just introduces the camera function simply, and doesn't mention what i said.

So, is it because of the altitude limit of the map self?

Re: Is there such kind of camera in the GEM?
You cant have the camera follow the person like that with camera triggers, You've got to do the annoying task of setting the camera's as best you can yourself.
On the waypoints, you must set altitudes for it to go to, like on my paratroopers mission. Using entity -> air_state.
You must also set it to "flying" instead of "ground". (If you have not already)
For "bombarding a target on the ground", I think the trigger is entity -> air_attack, but that seems to do random weapon or non-random weapon (not allowing you to specify as far as I can tell), But I have not tryed this out, so it might work, might not, actor_fire is the next best try."After all, why are any of us doing this? For money? It's a free mod. For glory? Who really cares about that. You do it for yourself because it's fun and the minute the project stops being fun, you give up." - DarkUnderlord, FMF

Yeah, camera tracking is not really easy job, but just as you said, it seems we gotta accept it at present.
For the air bombardment, tomorrow i'll try it following your cue. Thanks.

Re: Is there such kind of camera in the GEM?
With the help ofhttp://www.digitalmindsoft.eu/forums...php?f=16&t=570, i have figure it out now. The key point is to set "air_state" to the path points. Now, my plane can fly along the path.
Thanks for all the replies.

Re: Is there such kind of camera in the GEM?
Now, here is a new problem.
I am currently trying to make a movie for funny, and there will be a scenario that a soldier operating searchlight gets shot and fall down the tower, just like one scene in the movie "Faces.of.War_Dont.Stop.Me" made by 3dotfilms. The question is how can i make the falling animation like in 3dotfilms' movie. I added every kind of the animation "stand_die_back_...", but it didn't work. If using entity_effect: die, the solider just fell down directly to the centre below the tower, not having the animation of backward fall. Then i tried leting the tower emit the solider first, but again it didn't happen.
So does anybody know how to make it?
Thanks in advance.
