    locating custom map files

    im having trouble finding my custom map files from the gem editor on my system, they are not in the "maps" directory, even when i try searching for them i still cant find them. Im running vista (and wandering if it could be that)

    Well, they should be stored in "Faces of war/resource/map" whether you are running Vista or not (I´m running Vista myself). Are you making fully new maps or working from the original ones? If the latter is true, then make sure you are saving them under a new name...

    Try harder!! Maybe are camouflaged!

    If you made a custom map...only in "resource/map/another subfolder" can be....not in another place.

    yer well my map directory in the resources folder has one folder named "multi" with nothing in it, i have even tried extracting the .pak files and i still cant find em!

    Try from the Faces of War folder searching for the map name? so if its "Cheese" search "Cheese" lol.
    Maybe your editing a mods map, that could result in the map being saved to the mods folder..

    Otherwise.. realy wts?

    i have tried searching the whole computer for my maps and now the folder, but they are still nowhere to be found. i have checked all the mod folders out also there not there. this is freaking me out

    change your search parameters in *.mi

    yep i have tried that and i only get the map files for the mods that i have.
