Hasn't it change since the patch ?. Besides the range. The explosion don't do much harm now.
medium howitzer shells still rip it apart by 10-meter-away hits

was about to say this, even a hit close by makes it blow up. And since it's a truck it's more trouble to navigate with it hitting trees and stones and then it bounces when u hit a small rock and dies. Definately not worth it's price especially now that there's the more maneuverable and lower profile T-60 arty available, that won't die from small-arms.

As someone said one solution would be to make it a tracked or half tracked vehicle like half track or that german tractor, it would at least solve problem of trees since pathing is problematic.

Feel free to add them. It's not meant to be a definitive, it's a basis for comparison.

I am not a modder, I am not going to have all these information.

What is finesse of the reloading process?

If your artillery is subject to hand grenades and small arms fire, something has gone drastrically wrong.

Panzerwerfer has similiar reliability problems, but atleast it's lightly armoured & tracked. Katjusha is furthermore hampered by the truck-chassis.

Btw, calibre isn't the most important factor when it comes to rocket effectiveness.
Calibre does matter. As for the accuracy problems with rockets, all the other faction's rockets have the exact same problem of wide dispersal. As far as I can tell, they all (apart from the single shot ha-To) have the same accuracy.

What replenishing issues? If you know it does have a problem, go ahead and direct control an ammo truck to beside it. Don't have to transfer by men. At least your ammo truck isn't going to run over your rocket artillery, like the Land Mattress.

It wouldn't work, believe it or not, and yes, you are forced to do it "by men", because, as already said, the inventory link (window of exchange) between the ammo truck and the Katiusha quite often simply wouldn't appear when it must, no matter if you're using DC or not.

Katyusha is just a pointless unit to get. It has really almost no impact on the battlefield, to inaccurate, only 3 salvos before you have to reload it. And there is a very old bug with it which make this unit just a waste of points. Very often the ammo truck does not want to "look" into the Katyushas inventory, which means you cant reload it. It happens quite often and is very frustrating.

I can bet someone else's ass, that if this unit had cost, say, 800-900 MP - people would by it with no questions asked.

Or it could just be given extra ammo which equates to less MP being spent in the long run as well as less frustrating actions without it coming onto the field early.

Don't know about others, but I can speak for myself: that would not motivate me at all, not even make me give it a second thought.
