Which is the more 'stable' platform - Men of War or Men of War: Assault Squad ...

Just curious, the Men of War Assault Squad engine and shaders are very attractive no doubt, but from a modding perspective I hear there are many bugs with the current build of AS. Vanilla Men of War seems to fare alot better. Can anyone confirm this?

    Regards,

    Sturm.

    Vmow better than mow:as??? never!
AS got better models, better graphics, more units, less bugs, more maps, and everything just look much better than vmow.

the only big problem i found with mods in AS is that you cant autoactivate them at the online lobby cause will make the game crash, the rest is fine i think

Can't confirm what Gabriel says. They visual stuff looks pretty much identical to me. Only the textures seem to be sharper.
Both games seem to be pretty bug free - except for the fog of war problems I have with AS but that's really the only problem.

BTW: Good luck with your mod. From what I see it's going to be awesome!

    Cheers,

    faCe

Thanks for the replies, and thankyou faCe for the support.

Im mainly asking as Im thinking about porting my mod to Assault Squad, but had heard that there are a few bugs causing crashing e.t.c

There is a new shader engine used for MoW AS that adds more defined bloom and blurs the edges of objects whilst also providing a better colour palette for enviroment settings, as well as new vehicle models.
Its definately an incentive to move to AS.

I'd say port it over, don't be put off about crashes, since the time i got MoWAS i've only had 3 crashes, but they are mainly because of me going creative crazy in the editor.

Still think its steam doing the crashes, as i got one when steam did one of their updates.

I have the DVD-version activated on Steam. I never experienced any crashes except those I caused myself. Port it over! It would be nice to see in AS.
