Unit wishlist!

Hello folks! New to this forum, but awed by the amount of creative talent around here.

Seeing how folks are producing so many excellent new units, I would like to propose a little wishlist, for what units I would like to see added in mods. Everyone else is of course welcome to do the same...

I am especially interested in seeing some of the more unusual, and seldom seen units brought to life. I love to have the possibility of playing more than the usual WWII factions (USA, UK, Germany and Soviet Union), and hence, it pleases me much to see so many mods adding Polish, Italian, French and Hungarian units to the mod.

Now, with Zlatorog producing his excellent Hungarian units mod, and Zeke Wolff and Ngvede churning out their splendid italian units, my wishlist contains a few more units from some other of the minor factions, that I would love to see in the game. (I would make them myself, if I wasn't asuch a crappy modeller. I've tried, but it would take me quite a few years of practice to be able to create anything even remotely presentable).

So, my top 10 wishlist for units would be as follows:

1. Char 2C Never actually used in battle, but it was still operational in the French army in 1940.
2. Skoda S-I-D T32 An early Czechoslovakian tank destroyer with 37mm gun, also used by the germans.
3. Maresal Romanian tank destroyer prototype, similar to the Hetzer. Although never actually used, it would be a nice and unique addition.
4. Sau-40 A French SPG conversion of the SOMUA S35, which although only built in one or two examples, still took part in battle
5. 10TP Polish medium tank, which although built in a couple of examples, never reached the production stage.
6. M39 Pantserwagen A dutch armoured car. Given that I saw there was a mod adding the Netherlands as a faction being created, this would be a great addition!
7. Skoda PA-2 Some more Czechoslovakian stuff. An interesting armoured car used by the Czechoslovakian army.
8. Tatra OA vz.30 Another Czechoslovakian armoured car, also used by the Hungarian army.
9. T 15 A Belgian light tank used in the fighting in 1940. Some examples were also captured by the Germans.
10. T 13 Another Belgian AFV, with a 47 mm gun. One of the most powerful vehicles in the Belgian army at the time of the German invasion. Rounds off this little selection nicely!


Of course, there are plenty of other units that would be great to see as well, but these are some that I would really enjoy seeing.

But whatever new vehicles are created, the creators have mine and, I dare say, the MoW and MoW:AS community's sincerest thanks. Every new unit counts!

Simply the Schwimmwagen: this amazing car is not yet in the game even with a big production of 15,000 vehicules (1942-1944)

I love this amphibious car and think it could be funny to use it on maps with water..

Italian Semovente 75mm gun, and the semovente 40 47mm gun

DUKW - Amphibious truck used alot during Scily, Overlord, and Varsity


LVT(A)-1 - a varient of the LVT, instead of the turret having a 75mm Howitzer instead a 37mm used alot during 1942 - 1944


T-34/'41 - the T34 used between 1941 and 1942 with the 1940 Turret and the cannon of the 1943 T34


Sexton - used alot as the mobile 25 pounder, used mostly by canadian forces but still a good SPG

T-34/'41 - the T34 used between 1941 and 1942 with the 1940 Turret and the cannon of the 1943 T34

The tank I want the most is the Char G1R with the FCM turret. We have the Panzer IV G, M4A3 Sherman, Chi-nu, Cromwell Mk IV, and T-34-76. This medium tank and the P26/40 are all thats missing from what could be the ultimate set of medium tanks.



Renault G1R:

75mm High Velocity APX Gun 1929: Penetration of 50mm at 1,000m/ 70mm at 500m/ 90mm at 100m
2 7.5mm reibel machine guns
60mm of armor on all sides of the hull
turret: 80mm/70mm/60mm
Uses the ARL-3 Turret which looks like the FCM F4 turret but it lacks the turret basket, 3 man turret
20km/h offroad, 30km/h average, 40km/h max, 350 hp engine
32 Tons
Range of 200km





The first model was the mockup seen in the photos, the turret would prove to be a failure and was expected to be replaced by the one on the 2nd model. The third model is a fictional drawing.
