Importing Red tide missions to Assault Squad
Despite of deleting some entities from the map file, wich would lead for crash if kept, what is the procedure for importing red tide missions into assault suqad?
I know no one can release this is the forums, I asking because I own both Red Tide and AS and I want to do it for playing red tide in AS engine.
of course for private use.... first make sure the map itself loads without crashes or strange warnings in log file, load the map edit map file until it doesnt crash anymore or give weird errors once thats done then you can look at the script i suggest going through script manually for any obvious changes such as breed names/paths or things like m18 grenade which was smoke in mow now being smoke grenade etc.... then you can attempt loading script with the map, remember that even script wanting to load for example a helmet that doesnt exist could lead to weird crash error. Further, while I have converted a lot of mow/ch missions to mowas i never tried red tide, make sure there are no extra service items/entities used that doesnt exist in as which script calls and any other things that dont work in scripts in mowas. Its tough procedure but once u get the differences ironed out it gets easier.
