Might be not a bad idea.
nebel (150mm)________________gun____________________bm 8 (84mm)
5____________________________CP___________________ _4
60________________________nr of shells________________230
6_________________________nr of shell fired in one go_____24
slow _______________________speed___________________ appears to be as fast as T60 (34)
The mystery to me is why BM 8 (vehicle) has lower CP than Nebel (towed emplacement)? Just for comparison, the CP of T60 is 9.
Nebel can kill tanks but it is very unreliable. It is more used against infantry and emplacements but even in that role, the 6 rockets don't have the same effect and 24 rockets. Nebel is not as mobile as BM8; that's why it is a good idea to use a light vehicle to tow it but that means spending more MP and using even more CP.
As a side note, the most cool thing about BM8 is that it will be most frequently used to support KV-85 spam.

Dear CzaD,

Nice, I drew comparison between nebel and BM8 to see if BM8 really needs to go or maybe it just needs HP increase and pointed out an approximate timing of BM8 and Instinct thinks I am derailing the topic. Sorry, it won't happen again.

Both units nebel and BM8 take no CP, it's only crew/soldiers inside them that does.

6HP infantry-squad
? I think the BM-8 will fit the game quite neatly once it finds it's right place (presumably a slight nerf or prize increase coupled with reasonable CP). Afterall Katjusha isn't that usefull, so some proper rocket arty for the Soviets is justified.
Double T-34 is a is not a bad unit: the thing is you can't use it effectively just by yourself But if shared and used in synergy with a teammate it's a killer on big maps. 5MP would make it OP in competent hands without making it more usefull for the people who find it bad atm. It's not the prize that's wrong with this unit, just the very fact it can't be used by one person.Last edited by Norbo; 21-06-2012 at 14:19.
I lost my manhood years ago. I don't really know what keeps me going anymore.

How can this thing even be overpowered if its rocket has like 10x less HE filling than the M13.
Gotta reinstall the game I guess.Playing online as [EPIC]Nowotny

Well, first: I don't like BM-8 - it's just a way around to make for poor Katiusha implementation in the game, and IMHO this should be addressed directly, and to some point it was with the range increase.
Second: people tend to have allergy for virtually any worthy addition to soviet forces,
Third: if you consider, that those guys could actually land anywhere on the map, unless being shot down on the way, and the fact that they would have stats near those of 101st guy,
Then you could see, that it would be a not-all around, situational, semi-strong unit with some ability to infiltrate deep into the enemy territory, or quickly arrive to an area, that needs to be defended against infantry and light/medium armor.
As for the assault troops, I agree that they aren't bad, but they do take too much CP for a 6 HP call in.

I Only Publish screenshots that are important for me, and also its very hypocrite from you to say that japs are overpowered, after i tested the new japanase hero tank i told u 7 times that thing was bugged, and all u said was I Don't Believe you, You played with japan 3-4 times and because of that bug u won, and then u played agaist me once again this time me playing as japs, and just because u lost u realize the jap tank is bugged, Pathetic.

I hope, guys, you didn't get any infractions for derailing the topic.
Going back to the topic of BM8, do you think, guys, that Soviets gained artillery superiority over all other fractions on top of their tank superiority strengthened by the new upgraded KV-85 model? (One might even argue that they have infantry superiority too but that seems not so relevant any more).
With the reduced time limits for hero units, BM8 is a perfect support for KV-85 push and any chances for enemy comeback with a super heavy tanks might be successfully spoiled by one 203 on a team.

It's destructiveness is large, it's fast, it's hard to hit, it's armored against indirect fire, it provides indirect fire, it doesn't take a considerable amount of CP.
The BM8 does not have any disadvantages.Best regards!
