I can understand the change since the KV-85 was pointless before. T-34/85 was faster, had better mobility, better speed, cheaper MP and CP. So there was no point in using the KV-85.
But can't say for sure if the price is right, im actually surprised its still in competative mode when far more unique units like JP4 isn't.
I do agree that there should be more things encouraging people to buy medium tanks and tank destroyers.
Its kinda crazy that we still have IS-2s for 1500 in points...Last edited by Evilsausage; 20-06-2012 at 12:40.

I understand that KV-85 needed a change, but I don't understand this change. Why do we have two tanks that perform nearly the same in the game but one is for 1100MP and the other for 850MP? New players must be wondering now where the catch is?
And the change is a bit problematic too. What should the price of KV-85 be now? Even if KV-85 is increased to 1000MP, it is still worth getting over IS-1. I wish DMS made a model of a USA tank that looks very similar to Pershing, has the same frontal armour and nice angles as pershing, has the same gun as Pershing but it was 250MP cheaper.
Btw, can you imagine 3v3 Farmland now? Soviets vs Germany. We can expect KV-1 push in the early game with some emplacements and T-60; then there is going to be at least two KV-85s supported by 2x BM 8s. Middle Soviet player banks for 203 (just for a change
).

With the recent changes Japan may be in a better shape than you think.

Just wait until they increase the armor of the IS1 to 120mm or so... :P

KV85 was never UP compared to other faction's medium tanks like 76W and Comet (only the CP is too high), but the very cheap T34/85 made it useless. It costs 75MP and 2Cp less than the 76W. Be honest. Is the 76W better than T34/85? (the new T34 is bugged so im talking about the normal one)

The '76 has better penetration, reload speed, accuracy, accuracy by motion, speed and for the most part even armor. Also it relies less on the sloped armor, so it suffers less from high calibers.
Yes the 76w is better than the old 34/85.

Yes, the 76W has slighly better gun. For what, if you dont have time to shoot with it? T34/85 has much better surviveability. You need 87mm penetration on the weakest spot while 76W needs only 64 with a medium caliber gun. T34 can be angled very well which makes it even stronger than 76w's max safe angle. The weak side armour is very high, so its easy target even from a bad angle and long range. Suffering from a higher caliber is minimal. Its only 2mm between 75mm and 100mm shots.
So, the 76W is absolutely NOT better than T34/85Last edited by SeventeenPounder; 20-06-2012 at 23:38.
