    Everything you said is what I wanted to accomplish when I made this mission.
    I go on vacation and I will not be online until 15 july.When I return I have another map ( Norrey en Bessin, 1000x1000) that is 70% completed and I will do my best to be ready and released by August 1st.
    I think that you will not regret it.

    Another great map!!! real good ideas we love these,,, but in my testing this week '2 Player LAN' we are having the classic units assignment problems,, especially at the beginning.

    Basically the program does not correctly assign the units to the players,,, mostly keeps them as AI,, but if you order a second unit,, sometimes the 2nd one will come on assigned to a player,, its very random and even more frustrating,,, i do believe however that this is a fairly uniform problem across most maps/mods,,, any ideas people? is there a miracle worker out here to find this solution??

    i Lemi, I really enjoyed this map. Just completed it on hard and it was very difficult - which I like!!!

    Really good work.

    My feedback is as following - WARNING, SPOILERS! - as ever, no criticism, just comments.

    Pros:
    1. Very detailed map - I like it.
    2. Very difficult in the later stages - I like that also! The 17pdr guns that are hidden in the bushes are hard to spot - very clever. One gun in particular, at the very top of the map next to the road in the middle, was hard for my men to reach and I must have lost hundreds just to take it out, I even tried mortaring it.
    3. I wondered why some troops were carrying mine detectors. I found out the hard way...
    4. I also like how you've not included planes or rocket launcher tanks (although I see the hidden Nebelwerfer ) so you have to engage the enemy's howitzers quickly with fast vehicles (or hijacked priests) before they destroy you. The end-game is most satisfying.
    5. Overall I enjoyed it - I don't play maps through to the end if they bore me.



    Cons:
    1. When I captured the nearest far right flag (the one that gives you PAK-40's) a Sherman appeared out of the blue from the right hand side of the map!!! It proceeded to hoover up my men and the medic half-track I used to kill the defenders I got it with an AT nade, but even so.... I don't mind counter-attacks but I'm not psychic. There should be a warning that a Sherman is approaching.
    2. When I captured the far left flag (the one that gives you Panzergrenadiers) 2 Shermans and commandos counter attacked. Luckily - bearing in mind what happened before - I had set up Pak 40's and some captured M4A3s and managed to take them out quickly.
    3. After capturing the first line of flags no tanks or soldiers attacked me at all. I was able to reinforce the houses and build up PAK-40 defences at leisure. I have a save game if you want to take a look?
    4. When I buy a JagdPanther it fires HE shells at tanks. I loaded it with AP 75mm and yet it chose HE. Is this by design or is it a bug?
    5. Not enough 88MM ammo on supply trucks. I go through supply trucks rapidly, as a result. The Churchill MK VII soaks up PAK-40 and 88MM shells (did . I would suggest 100 AP and 100 HE
    6. The troops on the tiger are set to "roam", not "hold position", so when they get off the Tiger they tend to run off and get shot.

    Nice map, I enjoy the large size of the map and it shows that a map doesnt need tons of details to be good looking. Good job on your map and skirmish, I succeded in taking the first line then saved to be continued later.

    I'm glad to hear that you like the map and the new ideas in the mission that will certainly not played before.
    I assume you have version 1.4 (other versions not good) and in that version when you start single player mission you control all germans, and reinforcements can be controlled as they come onto the map. Perhaps you will laugh but I've never played LAN or multiplayer.Yesterday I tried for the first time LAN,set Skirmish Abb.Ard.map with 2 players and try by my self,and you're right for what you say.
    First call infantry-control AI
    Second call infantry-1st infantry control player second AI
    Third call infantry-second infantry control player (with first infantry), third control AI and soo on....

    It is such a good music for my ears when I see comments like yours.I am realy glad that you enjoyed the game and that you finnished on hard difficulty.I will do my best to make my future maps enjoyble as you said.
    I must ask you do you play with LAST VERSION 1.4 ( other versions not good) because I yesterday checked everything you and buzard had said.

    The first flag you capture no mater what trigger counterattack of 2 Shermans and soldiers who seats on it.When you take second flag comes cromvel and so on...
    About WARNING of counterattacks and supply trucks-I must say that as a real war looks like and you have to be ready for evrything.This is just a small piece of the real war.As you already know I have 5 attacks by enemy when you capture certain flags and only one has warning and you have reinf. with Pz.IV with four soldires seat on it.
    About-"After capturing the first line of flags no tanks or soldiers attacked me at all"-I think this is just a pause before you take next flag.After you capture first five flags start serious enemy assaults.

    Hello Mopar,

    During the early morning hours of June 8th, the 26th ZZ Panzer Grenadier Regiment of 12 ZZ Panzer Division under the ZZ-Obersturmbannführer Wilhelm Mohnke began to arrive at its jump-off positions to the West of Meyer’s Kampfgruppe. They were given order to attack and secure the villages :

    Norrey-en-Bessin and Cardonville( second map),
    Putot-en-Bessin and Brouay ( third map)
    Bretteville-l’Orgueilleuze ( fourth map)

    June 11th
    Rots (fifth map- probably defence)

    sixth-tenth map I do not decided yet, I must first obtain an Google earth images and everything else for mapping.Also if the Bassmaniac release Hill 112 I must change the plan because I do not want two map the same name with the same story.


    On the second map (1000x1000) 60-70% presents hole Norrey-en-Bessin,top left corner Cardonville and in the end of the map will be first trees and houses of Bretteville-l’Orgueilleuze.This will be house to house fight.

    In reality the germans have never taken the Norrey-en-Bessin mainly because of the tenacious fighting of the Regina Rifle Regiment who held the town.
    Now I will give you a chance to do it.(to change history...HA,HA,HA)

    Heya. just a bit of help for you with your mod

    Some words of wisdom from DJSatane to help you make this map multi player and take the reinforcement issue out. also you need to delete the gun folder or edit the 105mm to make it compatible with GSM :P


    for single player the trigger where those soldiers are active they need to be autoassigned


    - autoassign -> advanced then add group include (tag of soldiers or units uw ant) exclude (state inactive)
    - that way u assign only the units that u just called to action
    - however if u use tag for units u also have to remove tag from them because next time u order same units and call autoassign those soldiers already on battle will be reassigned again
    - so when u call units and autoassign
    - then you need to use entity state command also where you select all the soldiers u just autoassigned by their tag and remove it
    - again with entity state u also wanna use advanced then add group include (tag of soldiers or units uw ant) exclude (state inactive) and then remove that tag
    - cause if u select all those tags then even inactive soldiers hidden will be removed
    - or u can use zone

    - that would work for like tjhose reinforcments u buy
    - or even come in
    - ones that are cloned so they can be called again
    - in that example it would work on any soldiers tagged player_infantry
