Videos for new people AKA MoW:AS Basics for Beginners

Figured that since I've finally gotten off of the topic of Infantry and I'm making new videos again, it would be a good time to post this here. I don't know how many of you remember me from the first time I did this, but I've been working on a series of videos on YouTube to provide some help to newer players. Most of what I'll be covering is pretty basic stuff, as my lack of multiplayer experience prevents me from discussing the metagame, but that tends to shift so often outside of a few basic concepts that I'd have to update it anyway.

I just wanted to call attention to these videos a second time, and welcome any help from the community that I can get in the form of sharing them or helping me to improve them. I'm not beyond going back and re-recording any of them that can't be fixed with simple annotations, if there's enough lacking to warrant it. I've already proven that fact by remaking the three videos I posted before this most recent one. So again, any suggestions or feedback would be a massive help. I don't have much in the way of production values to offer, but I hope to make up for that in helpful information. Anything that can ease the learning curve.

My YouTube channel is MrGuy84 and though I've been doing some non-MoW:AS stuff recently, it remains the focus of the channel. If you want to skip past the other silliness found there, just click on the following link to get to my most recent video covering the first vehicle section.

My videos have been getting longer ever since I got the option to upload past 15 minutes, but I try to keep the rambling and repeating myself to a minimum. I'll try not to waste any more of your time.

Yeah, the original post was lost in the forum transfer when DMS redid everything a ways back. I hadn't posted anything new in a while at that point, so I didn't think it made sense to make a new thread until recently.

Just wanted to call attention to the fact that I've added the army guides by The Butcher of Basra and Evilsausage to a playlist on my channel for those of you that haven't seen them yet. Also made another playlist with the complete list of "Watch the Developer" videos from the digitalmindsoft channel, as well as the pair of them where you can see the other side of the fight from The Butcher of Basra's point of view.

I'm also going to be taking a look at my older playlists and the videos in my subscriptions to try and put together a decent collection of good gameplay videos. My old playlist was pretty much assembled from videos that had "cool moments" in them, but I'm hoping to feature ones with the more practical application of teaching tools soon as I get around to sorting through the pile.

Thanks. Hopefully this helps to get the videos circulated a bit more.
Spent a little time looking over some of the videos to add annotations earlier today.
Realized that I'd completely forgotten how much stuff was actually in the inventory of a halftrack.
That, as well as an excellent comment about the officer on a previous video both got added in today.
Also made me realize that I should probably link to the newer versions of the videos I revised.
Adding a quick popup link to the start of the video in those cases might not be a bad idea.

Another update (and a long overdue one) for the next video being posted. I finished recording and compressing the next episode (Light Artillery) earlier today, and the video is uploading as I type this.
It probably won't be live for a few hours yet, since the final video file ended up being pretty big, but it's on the way. Again, I apologize for the lack of activity, and the long span of time between videos, but I'm gonna try and improve on that. All goes as planned, and I should be able to maintain a bi-weekly posting schedule, rather than the quarterly one I seem to have now. I won't be posting in this thread for anything other than announcing new videos or responding to comments, so apologies for the current double post, but there's not much I can do about it.

You might want add formatting tag:

    yt:stretch=4:3

May solve the problem of your video being stretched out.

Problem is that I'm recording in a really wonky resolution due to my monitor having a 5:4 aspect ratio. If I stretch 16:9, it'll fill most people's screens, but it will be pretty obvious that it's being stretched. If I switch over to 4:3, it'll probably look less stretched, but then the video will be boxed for a lot of viewers. The fact that it's going to look different for me than it will for most people viewing doesn't help matters either. I've been using 16:9 to try and fill the screen so far, but if 4:3 ends up looking better overall I might have to try that. Something I'd actually been thinking about a while back, but kind of forgot that it was an option until now.
