Dunno where to post this other than in this thread.
This is the Soldiers Object Editor v0.5 which is mainly used together with S:HOWW2 but it can also be used when you are making new 3d vehicles from scratch (which will be used in FoW) and with some clever ingeniuity, can also be used to a small degree, with FoW.
Some hints:
As soon as you have made _any_ modification to your model, save ASAP. Then, quit SoEdit. If you dont do this, and SoEdit crashes (which it has a bad habit of doing), your new MDL file isnt saved 100%. SoEdit only save a 100% full MDL file when it is exited. Also, never save over your original MDL file cause SoEdits new file isnt always working. However, look up the modified lines in your new MDL file and simply copy and paste them into a copy of the original MDL file (I always make a backup of my original MDL files before I start to modify them. This way you can always go back to a original one in case the new one wont work).
Animations cant, as far as I know, not be made with SoEdit even if the option is available. I think the author decided to drop SoEdit before all options were fully working, which is too bad. By the way, I´m NOT the author of SoEdit nor am I a pro at using it. However, it isnt that difficult to use and you will learn the basics of it in notime.
