Just tried FOW but its totally unplayable with that AI. Impossible to control your squad. Will there be any improvements in Outfront 2?

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

We cant tell for sure, this community only got to test the Russian Addon Beta. But, i noticed some improvements.

For example, infantry obeys orders more closely. When ordered to attack, they wont just stand up then try to blunt the guy 5m from them with hand grenades. There is still room for improvements, but hey, we dont know what the Addon 2 carries. It is bound to have some tweaks and fixes :D

So stick around - Devupdates are every friday, in News forum

Yes, there are improvements done, but could you specify your problems more detailled, otherwise it's hard to tell you something.

Unplayable is a little over the top don't you think.

FoW AI was quite good compared to even the highest budgeted games!

True I would like to see the AI sometimes gather together and counter attack and bring troops up without it being scripted but otherwise it was good!

Unplayable really is over the top, if you ever made maps just spawning troops and vehicles, you'll see that for the most part they'll behave decent. Asides from some weird bugs were some waves just rush straight to the waypoint, each soldier will react to gunfire, new cover changes, and take into account their odds (troop numbers and the such). Great ai, could be optimized sure, my only real complaint's lack of a melee only option (zombies mode).

The AI in Men of War reacts to enemy when being sent to a location by the player, enemy forces will be encountered and cover will be taken automatically.

Well haven't had any problems with the ai for campaigns in fow, just meant the AI in custom maps, normal advance orders on a group of tagged men using the triggers, there are some instances where the waves would just rush straight into the enemy camp ignoring everything. Not quite sure if it was problems with the way I was doing advanced scripts or something else altogether.

Anyhow, biggest gripe with fow really is just the "Program Errors" which happens all to frequent on customs co-ops, though not so much in normals.

Nice to know the AI's been improved though. On a non-related note, not for me but a friend who plays on a laptop and on my old computer the game would start lagging really badly when vehicles started "corpse grinding" (vehicles plowing through dead vehicles). Works fine for the most part on my new computer but still lags badly on his. And sometimes dead vehicles would get stuck floating in mid-air.

Did the friend of yours install the 1.04.1a patch?
There was a problem with Securom copy protection system causing such things...

Sorry for a bit of offtopic.

To Instinct,

Do you have any idea how many new animations there were created for MoW?

I hope that there is a salute animation.
