Release date for Rest of World (Non CIS)

Hi Instinct

Any news on when the ROW is going to get Outfront 2, been waiting for ages on news, then see the CIS have had the followup released, I know ours is in two parts as opposed to the CIS 1 parter, any idea when we will see a demo or be given firm release dates.

I was hoping this thing would be out before Christmas, something to keep me occupied over the break, while the wife and kids hog the tv all day. I have completed FOW so many times on Tactical and due to my ISP's throttling of bandwidth on games, I get too much lag on Internet MP, so I end up playing against my 8 year old son, so need a fresh challenge.

We have no release date confirmed, but it will not be released this year anymore.

Our publisher will announce the game soon, propably in January since we don't want to harm sells of the first Add-on by showing screenshots of 2nd whilst some countries in the CIS even don't have the 1st one yet.

If I don't post News on it, I can not talk about it.

Thanks Instinct, would have liked to have it before Christmas, but never mind.

I think we are all waiting for any small bit of news, that brings it closer to release.

I suppose I will now spend my time brushing up on my typing skills, as for the last post I think I was in spelling mistake heaven.

Which of the expansions is "largest", 1st or 2nd? Or is one bigger then the other? (includes more & size) :P

Well if it required the First stadalone addon they just got it wouldnt harm sales.. so I see not just the west gets ...... with just waiting, the russians get it with low stocks and the second addon being standalone too/costing more.. so the first one is just pointless and racking development money? :laser:

And if "the 1st one is the bigger one"... well damn :brickwall: .. then again I do love the new interface and armour penetration :P

I don't understand what you mean.
There is nothing showed from the 2nd one yet, all is from 1st Add-on. What's new in the 2nd one is not yet announced in any sort.

Frankly, I am quite amazed that you even dared to release the game on different dates around the world. With the current piracy trend in the gaming industry I guess that it is just a matter of time before the 1st addon will be out on the net. Sure do hope that this isn´t going to happen, cause a game worth playing is worth buying but thats just my opinion.

Nevertheless, I´d a great week playing Outfront 2 Beta and if the full game is only half as good as that one, I do not mind the waiting! Great work!

How long it tooked to make the first part for Russians? Around half year? Any news whats planned on second half? So will it take as long to make as the first part? My guess is that the game for western countries wont come out when we have snow here in Finland... meanwhile :pacman:

Probably my 8 year old, he plays games as soon as he gets in from school, so he is quicker than me at most things, though he still comes to me when he gets stuck on something.

I can't beat him at Quake 3, COD 4 or Crysis MP, when we play on out network, so I hold my hand up, I am not better than an 8 year old :oops:

From the MP beta -The sequel tweaks the velocity down a bit. Together with a more friendly interface so More tactics and less clicking.
You might get an edge there :)

But You should defntly get your net connection worked out

I have a new Quad PC with 4GB and 2x 8800GTS SLI config ready for Outfront 2, I will also be upgrading to 20Mbits from 8Mbits after Christmas, so that should stop the slowdown in MP, so I will hopefully be able to play one line with a good speed and all the bells and whistles at my end.

With that pc you can probably play Crysis.. at the same time :D

As for the net conection, I play in a 1M with no problems. 8M is a lot more than enouf, your problem must be elsewhere.

Like I said, d/l is blistering in speed, but games are real slow. I think the ISP throttles traffic for games, so that you upgrade.

They advertise the two slower speeds for watching movies and d/l music
The 20Mbits is advertised for the same plus games, so they get another £10 out of you, it will speed up all the PC's on my home network in terms of Internet access, so may as well go for it.

I can beat son at C&C3 and COH, yet he always seems to beat me in FOW MP, I must be getting old or doing soemthing wrong :D
