I'm playing out the Assault mission made by Zap and having a bit of difficulty getting the last trigger to work. Here are the objectives as accomplished thus far...

I've had soldiers and vehicles roaming all over the map and have yet to trigger the last assault :P . Does anyone know what I need to do to get it to work?

I managed to ambush the two Calliopes and fix them :realbig: . I am eagerly waiting for a chance to use them :D .

Hm hm,
well make sure no enemy is in a house or somewhere else hidden. I'm not sure about the script anymore, I nearly forgot about the map at all! o_O
But it could be that enemy soldiers in a house are not shown by the minimap.

sometimes one or more enemies , are map outside... install super zoom mod may be help you to find them... 8O

I thought for sure I got them all but without being able to locate a single enemy at all on the minimap in the first place it's pretty darn hard to tell :roll: . I forgot how to disable that particular feature :P . Do you remember how?(Never mind. I remembered we had the fix posted here (http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84046) ;) ). I like having to find the enemy but this is driving me nuts. I've combed the map several times over and leveled every single building, wall, and tree. I fired every field. I even destroyed every vehicle I'm not occupying. I was really hoping to be able to finally use the Calliopes on the last attack :( . I have both of them in tip top shape :realbig: . I've never been able to use those particular vehicles. It took me quite a long, long while and many, many loads of saved games to finally pound the enemy soldiers out of them without blowing them up first o_O .

Finding bugs with no fix addressed anywhere in the forums sucks :( . Playing the bonus mission Into the Jaws of the Beast I keep running into this error when I try to load a saved game...

Is there a way I can fix this easily or is it a problem that only using the Editor can fix? I'm not familiar or technically proficient enough with the Editor to mess with this if it is :P . It's been a persistant problem with this mission and I'd rather fix it if at all possible rather than start over.

Yes, that's the soldiers.log file report. It just crashes the game out with a "Program will be terminated" message :P .

OK, I might be able to help you Mad Cat, however, I have FoW quite much by now, but not Showw2 much at all, so my experience with "Program will be Terminated" might not be of much use when it come to SHOWW2. The main reason for this error, according to my experience, in FoW is a faulty weapon name. Check all .DEF files in the MOD (ie. Pz4g.def, pz5.def etc) that is included in "entity/-vehicles" and compare the vehicles weapons with the original ones. If you find one that is named (just an example) "75mm-L48" (notice the "-" sign) instead of "75mm_L48" (notice the "_" sign) that might be the problem. If you are lucky, then it is as simple as this, ie. just replace the "-" with the "_". If you are unlucky... well you get the idea! :)

Another case of the error to occur might be that the weaponname the mod is looking for simply isn´t included at all. If that is the case, simply change the missing weapon to a weapon that you know is in the game. Some modders is keen to change the 76mm gun of the T34 to "76mmL11" and then forgets to add the change in the weapon dictonary. If this is the case, simply change the gun to the one that the original T34 has, I think it is named just "76mm" but it was quite a while since I last took a look at the SHOWW2 T34 so I might remember wrong.

Sure do hope that the above will be of any use for you and hehehe, that you can understand my English which quite obviously isn´t my native language! :)

Program will be terminated in a savegame It can happen for many things... for example if mission has trains, only for your position when you save.... :o

Zeke, this error happens without using a mod. :|

Well it's a year later. I've been playing around with the new editor tool with a couple of the missions to this particular mod. I got Cromtec's permission to release my little modification to his mission Jaws of the Beasts. All I did was add a few more vehicles to it, especially on the German side, to make it harder than it already is. Somehow it loosened up all those enemy vehicles and soldiers that sat still in the original version. Makes for a pretty fun melee at the start. Also I added two more vehicles to the allied side and messed with the fuel and inventories of some of the vehicles and soldiers. If anyone's interested in playing with it here's a link...

All you have to do is dig into the SoE RWM mod's map single map folder and remove the Jaws folder before you replace it with the one in the link. You should be able to just download and unrar it directly into your mod's map folder. However, I stridently suggest putting the original map folder in a separate folder somewhere you can easily find it so you can replace it to original condition when you want to, or if for some reason the mission I messed with decides it doesn't want to work properly for you. I've been playing with it for a few days now and haven't had any problems out of it but you just never know. If there are problems with it I'm going to be hard pressed to figure it out since I'm not truly a modder. My messing around in the mods is like a blind cow wandering a field, I just hope I don't step in a pit.

Mad Cat's modifications to this mission include the addition of more german vehicles, two more allied vehicles, and inventory additions to allied vehicles and soldiers.

Yeah...I got the same problem with this mission....sound ok, but no image, a big black screen, with a shadow of minimap on right.

Aw shoot. My first attempt at making some minor changes and it fails.

Maybe I just needed to include the 0.mi file in the download? Could someone switch out just the 0.mi from the downloaded Jaws folder with the one in the original map folder and let me know if that works? I killed the link to the map folder pending further information. If my memory serves me right, the map is bugged and there is no way to fix it unless the developers make a patch for it. :sadflat:
