Should light and heavy AT cannons be used in Outfront 2 multiplayer?

Under heavy guns i consider heavy AA guns in the roles of AT defence.
Heavy AT/AA:

German - Wheeled FlaK 41 88 mm
Allied - Vickers 93 mm
Soviet - 52K 85 mm

Light AT:

German - PaK 36 37mm
Allied - M3 Gun 37mm
Soviet - 53-K 45 mm

Heavy AT/AA guns should act as cheaper alternative to tanks in defense, but only towable (deploying with truck), having quite high profile and very little possibilities to be camouflaged. Also are very vulnerable to infantry and scouts. Positive things is that they can be rotated around their axis faster than anything, thus, good for countering even the flank or rear attacks in matter of seconds. They also fire poweful hi-calibre shells at long range, with high accuracy and considerably low reload speed. Tow truck should also carry a lot of spare ammo.

Suggested Ammo: 20 AP, 5 HE rounds in gun + 1 AP in barrel + 80 AP, 40 HE in tow truck.
Suggested Range: 120 m (edge over tanks).
Suggested Extras: Gun shield
Suggested Price: 30-35 CP, limited to 2 per player

Light AT guns should act like frontline alternative to RPGs, very mobile (both towed and pushed), very fast turn radius, very low sillhouette. Also very easily camouflaged in bushes. Ammo capacity is very high in gun itself. Negative things are that it poses no threat to most medium tanks, but, in turn, they are devastating against APCs, light tanks and armored cars. Also providing infantry with HE covering fire.

Suggested Ammo: 40 AP, 25 HE + 1 AP in barrel. Boxes with ammo carried in trucks and halftracks, containing 30 AP, 15 HE in form of a pickupable box.
Suggested Range: 70 m (edge over infantry weapons).
Suggested Extras: 5 HEAT grenades (increased power against medium tanks), 4 bushes.
Suggested Price: 12-15 CP, without limitation

Ofcourse.
But, if not both, I would rather have Infantry guns replacing the heavy howitzers.

I'd like both.
Fast deployable AT weapons for point defense, that can be countered by either infantery or direct controlled tank woopin. :hurray:
Right now, you feel that you can only counter heavy tanks with heavy tanks. Would be nice to have cheaper alternative solutions, even if they are not as efficient.

Both.

But you´re forgetting the medium AT guns which was the most common one in the German Army, ie. the 75mm PaK (which is included already in game) and 50mm PaK (cant remember neithers correct PaK number right now, sorry).

The Brittish and US had their 57mm (6 Pounder) which also should be included.

And of course, the USSR have their excellent 76mm Zis-5.

Well, they are essential, and i didnt wanted to remove 75-76mm guns :D

i just wanted to add these two classes to reinforce defences. Currently, big tanks can only be destroyed by bigger tank or lucky infantry ambush. And small tanks tend to make a break for it, by trampling all from infantry to artillery.

Medium guns will have their role as golden middle. Powerful, but not so expencive.

In my opinion, 4th class of guns (50-57mm) wouldnt mean that much to the multiplayer.

But it would be nice to have as props in editor.

But heavies are something different. When you say "German" to someone, he instantly thinks - Mp40, Tiger, Flak 88. So why not add it to multiplayer?

Btw, i noticed some things in game. Jeep can tow US 76 mm cannon fully loaded, and with ease. Please try to disable that.

This is a good idea :) . We have Heavy, Medium and Light Tanks, so why not Heavy, Medium and Light AT Guns? It would be nice to be able to have different AT Guns at your disposal as it really gives more choice for tactics. Heavy Tanks are pretty much Invincible(Sarcasm :realbig: ) in an open battle(Field, No obstacles), so combating Heavy Tanks with Heavy AT Guns would bring much more strategy into the game, because no matter what situation, charging your tanks into an area(Like some people do) would be a lot more dangerous if the Opponent had Heavy AT Guns. Go AT Guns! 8)

Talking about AT pieces. Why do they rotate 360º when they are attached to the ground? I mean this unrealistic behavior has been modified in the arty pieces, why not correct this in the AT guns and make them more realistic? AT guns had a specific traverse angle 18-20º more or less. If you want to turn them further you had to unfix the gun and rotate it on its wheels and then fix it again on the ground for fire position. That would be true AT guns!!!

Perhaps because the MG34 was as common as the later MG42 which wasn´t available in the beginning of the war?
After all, the MG34 was used in almost all German vehicles until the end of the war and remained in infantry use as well until the end. The MG42 never replaced the MG34 fully, instead they were used side by side.

P.S. Maybe a another idea: Make ur mg guy deploy his weapon on sand bags, windows etc.?
