Why in the name of all things explosive does this mod keep, at random times, just getting rid of my stuff. The first it was my panther, 2nd was my Panzer IV, 3rd time its my whole damn army...My Panther I had captured some stuff which put me over my limit and that almost made sense but not quite considering my uncle is always over his limit from having captured gear. Then that theroy got shot down when my panzer IV got ditched and I was under my limit but its track was broke. I am now at an absolute loss for the 3rd time when I was continuing my campaign and I select Germany, Italian Front, UK, Continue current campaign and KAPOW!! I have 166 pts and none of my stuff....I was still 13 pts under before the previous mission. SO seriously, I am trying to like this DCG but at the curent rate, I am seriously starting to hate it......that random friggin getting rid of my stuff is getting amazingly old.......

If your vehicle has tracks, engine or hull damaged it will not be transfered to the next mission. Make sure you repair your vehicles (especially running gear) and everything should be OK...

It can be quite annoying, but I've made it into a habit of checking on all my vehicles at the end of the battle..

You'd think they would be able to repair tanks while you plan and prepare for the next mission.. but no..

I'm assuming this has to do with how the game was programmed and cannot be changed within DCG? or was it intentional?

Well, as it turns out I need to read things closer. The losing all my gear is the result of a failed operation and being relived of my command...which sucks. However, the game gave up on taking my vehicles and it decided it'd take a shot at my infantry...yesterday I had completed a mission and one of my Machinegunners had gone AWOL or something. Well, anywho, this mod is pretty cool. Also, could the Deployment zones get any smaller? I had a string of maps where my DZ was a 4x4 foot box and the enemy had the same situation..we were 15 ft apart and the enemy had arty that nuked me straight away. Is there a way to zoom in that map where you set up your forces at? And how do you beat an AI that is coming from a water hex?

Not sure why your infantry disappeared - sometimes there are problems with MoW saving your squads correctly depending on the kind of selection option you chose.

And how do you beat an AI that is coming from a water hex?

If you mean one of the operations like Normandy where, playing as the Germans, you can't capture the enemy supply source, then the way to win is to prevent your opponent from winning. There is a "days remaining" counter in the lower left of the operation screen that indicates how long until the operation ends in a stalemate.

There is also one other option to win: you can surround and destroy all the enemy divisions on the operation map - by first drawing them inland in this case.

I dont mean thier supply source is in the water, I am on Italian Front and on that screen with all the maps and it shows where you can attack there are various all water maps dotted all over, in between and some of them are right in front of my base 1 wide 2 deep and they just sit on those maps and I can sit and let them attack me all I want but that just lets the rest of the armies advance free of charge. I have my 2nd army and he has quite the army but manages to lose most of his fights. I beat the AI in every battle and take the time to wipe them all out during the fight but they are still there....I guess that Procurement Point thing doenst apply to the AI? I know if I got wiped out id have to rebuy everything and when I lose, I lose procurement points, so if thats the case how are the AI getting stuff and not just being wiped out?

Ah, to the first thing: that is controlled by the operation files and it is meant to be abstracted. If you don't like that operation type you can actually delete it. When I make the operations, I generally assume only one side has amphibious/airborne capabilities, so only one side can move over those blocked tiles.

The units on the operations map are also abstracted, but are generally assumed to be divisions which would contain hundreds of vehicles and thousands of soldiers, so the only way to really destroy them is to cut them off and defeat them in a pocket battle. In a future version, we may try to build in more detail about the health of each "division." Perhaps that is even something you could spend your procurement points on...

One thing you have to get used to is that DCG kind of puts you in two different roles. When you are on the operations screen, you are something like a corps commander, but the rest of the time you are only a small unit commander.

I think I pretty much figured it out...its not about wiping out armies and pushing the Ai dudes back across the map, its all about racing to get to the supply base maps and taking them before the enemy takes your own. Since I began going directly for the supply bases ive won 3-4 operations in 4 missions or less =D

That is the secret to win each operation, normally I just fool around toying with the enemies, if I get multiple allies I love surrounding the enemies then watching my allies get slaughtered :D
