you cant open modell files from MoW with any 3D programm.
...in internet you can find an application which can capture all geometry, textures and shaders from a running game ...but i think this application isnt legal.

mtl files are cleartext and can be opened with notepad , mdl files too.
to open the model files (ply files ) you need 3ds max and the in/export tools for mow.
I am downloaded the plugins for MOW! Where should I put them? 3ds max can save files as. MTL. I have multiverse converter but I do not know how to convert. I changed a tank and saved as. MTL file, transferred it to my mod and when I open GEM Editor, when I click on the tank to put the map there was a error!
I pray for help! :brickwall: :pang:
Thanks!

http://www.digitalmindsoft.eu/wiki/doku ... c_tutorial (http://www.digitalmindsoft.eu/wiki/doku.php?id=3ds_max_plug-ins_basic_tutorial)
this is the link for the basic tutorial for the 3ds exporter tool, otherwise look in the tutorial section, where Cromtec has written a very good tutorial about modelling and exporting to MoW
When I want to convert the file appears error:
WINDOWS CANNOT FIND THE CONVERSION TOOLS!
Like on this picture: http://img843.imageshack.us/i/image0167.jpg/
This is for scene file error: http://img638.imageshack.us/i/image0168r.jpg/
When I replaced the tank and copied in my mod, and when I wanted to put it in the GEM Editor appears this error: http://img62.imageshack.us/i/image0165y.jpg/
Thanks for tutorial! :beer2:

@djomla
are your pictures a photo from your monitor?
you can make a simple picture from your screen/monitor when you press the "PRINT" key on your keyboard. start any paintprogram (eg. Microsoft-Paint) and insert picture (saved in memory) with shourtcut "CTRL+V".
Thanks for this!

You can´t import .PLY files from Men of War into 3DS Max. 3DS Max can only be used to export a new model, not to change a already existing model, unless you´ve access to the original .max files.

No, you can´t open either .ply NOR .mdl files with 3ds Max and/or the plugin. The only thing you can do with the plugin, is to export a new vehicle, and when exporting it, the exporter automatically creates the necessary .ply and .mdl files etc.
~Zeke.
Does this mean that I need to create a new truck and then export it? I'm sorry because of this that I can not understand!
Thanks Zeke! :beer2:

Yes, that is what it means. You have to create a new truck fully from scratch, animate, uvmapping etc etc and then, export it as a new vehicle.
