What Happened to Soldiers HoWW2?

Hi,

Just curious to know why so many jumped over to faces of war/men of war?

To me Soldiers is better in that I don't like all the very unnecessary high poly details
+ I don't need to zoom in while I'm playing to admire how something looks because the second
I do that is when 500 rounds explode directly in front of what i'm looking at = pc goes beeeeep.

So is anyone else still playing/creating mods in soldiers?

or is the game just dead now or what ?

well, personally the reason i like MoW better is. A, you can zoom in, i like viewing my little soldiers close up, this coming from a guy who as a kid would have painted his toy soldiers if he could find paints that would stick... B, i got it first, and C, i know how to mod it since i got it first.

but i have played MP games of Soldiers and used mods from it before. so yes the old soldiers players are still around, you just need to find them and get them all using your favorite mod for a MP game etc.

S:HOWWII still has the best campagain in my opinion, and i still play it for that, not MP much though

Same here. I have FoW and MoW, but I don't play them. I still need to get MoW:Assault Squad though, just to have it. I'm just not that into multi-player. When I have participated in the multi-player demos I'd usually get kicked by the gamemasters fairly quickly. Way too slow or I just wasn't playing up to their standards I suppose. Always had a hard time in the 1vs1 and 2vs2 scenarios. When they did let me stay in the games I almost always played the defensive role and fortified my team's positions as much as possible.

True, true the campaign from SHOWW2 was great, to bad that FoW and MoW did not continued that way. Oh and there were mutch more user created campaign mods. Really hope that Storm over Europe 2 will come out at least for Assault Squad.

That's one of the main reasons that I prefur soldiers..

You cant seem to control the lil guys so easy as before in that they don't always listen to what
you tell them to do = Getting themselves killed is typical.

the communists most typical given weapon (small machine gun) can't aim for CraP in MoW..
so firing a the smgun hits everything *around* the enemy except for the last bullet in the clip.
and you have to shoot the germans atleast 3 times now so you better have three clips per kill :evil:

so let me shoot you once in the foot with a real mgun & see if you act as though nothing happened..

the campaigns are lame and alot of them are defend = ((annoying as hell))

I like to be the attacker with a good plan ..when *I* want to carry it out & (Never) losing a single
Soldier because if i do = restart.. I can do it better sorry lil guy! lol

Anyways there are many reasons I think soldiers is better then this MoW game which seems
more likely driven by developers who make Arcade style playstation games or something for kids
with 10 second attention spands.

So I hope the skilled modders that are spending so much time on this MoW game don't forget
about soldiers & what a great building point it has to offer verses ..pretty graphics & animations.

Remember that 2PZ Mod version 1.5 named Black Coats is near to release and with respect to the original game has at least 50 new missions.

Nothing.. It stands as is a superlative game.
I worked out how to do everything without any manual.
Cause i have a brain..We all have brains. but some just want shootememups like
codmw2 or crysis. Real pretty in geegaw way. Have played both on 'hard'
Which in SP is like mmo with average peeps
