Both in AS and vanilla MoW, during any single player games, you have a complete view of the map.
Maybe its just me, but I think the gameplay would benefit positively from introducing a limited FOW system.
Instead of being able to see the whole map, why not simply make your units see far into the fog.
Thus:
a) You dont know whats lying ahead in wait for you on the other side of the map, and cant see approaching enemy reinforcements a full three minutes before they arrive.
b) Your units /can/ see far enough to cover a combat zone, and see their next enemy.
