Slight Problem

Ok,im at my parents house as i often am,i have Men of War assault squad on my laptop,aswell as my tower,but i used the men of war 1.11.3 men of war.exe to start the 1 player skirmish mode on the laptop as i have not downloaded men of war for the laptop,& all worked fine.

But since i downloaded & installed patch 1.50 for assault squad it will no longer boot up on single player,so how do you do it on single player now guys,any clue. :punkr:

P.S.More importantly does it still work 1 player skirmish mode with MOW 1.17.5.exe. :beer:

If it does work with 1.17.5 MOW.exe could some kind person send it to me by email as being at my parent till moday i cant get it till monday evening but would like to play the skirmish game.

Hmm, well the copy protection files changed, so it won't run on 1.17.5 unless you copy in those files too:
protect.dll
protect.exe
protect.x86

The best thing will be to have 2 installations of MoW:AS and install the MoW patch in the one you want to use for Singleplayer gaming.
We wish to change coop so you can launch it alone, however it depends on some factors we can't influence, so I can't say when this will happen. :(

I tried that before i wrote this,ie downloded 1.17.5 full patch & tried to install but as i dont have MOW on my laptop i get a dont detect MOW so setup stopped message,so anyhelp there instinct.

Couldnt you send me the 1.40 exe instinct so i can play the skirmish,as if i go online it wont let me play skirmish on my own,& it's rare i find anyone online to play that mode with nowadays. :beer:

Hmm, can you try to install the multiplayer only patch and than try to launch the executable you have?

I have a standalone version + Steam version of Men of War.

Steam didnt patched up to 1.17.5 yet so i installed the patch to the Standalone...But there arent any files you mentioned @Instinct


Oh geez i wanna play Skirmish again :(

Ok,downloaded the 1.17.5 multiplayer only patch,installed it(it worked without game unlike full 1.17.5 patch),next put files you said in onlong with the mow.exe,result same as before.This is what i get -

Also of course cant run the multiplayer assault squad either without rerunning instalation as i changed the protection.

same problem here, I have copyed over the protection files but still it does not work, will there be a fix for this soon as I have never been able to get a multi player game going and the only way I can play is skirmish.

Well, I see, we have encrypted the game resources of MoW:AS last version because a Russian modder has leaked the files and provoked us several times in the past. That's why it won't work with any other executable than the one we have provided in the update.

Sorry for the confusion.

We will think of a solution how to enable singleplayer for you guys.

Have you tried on skirmish,& it's grenich mean time. :booyah:

Just host during the evening, there's plenty of people online and it shouldn't be a problem to get several for a skirm. Otherwise just ask on Xfire.
