Heh, it's the 6th most sold game on Steam at the moment. Guess there are going to be lots of new players.

Thank god the official patch is out, so all these players won't have any problems getting to the latest version.

The devs should really not have released the 1.16.4, and waited for the official one to get done instead, to avoid problems like this.

However, the 1.16.4 installation is done the same way on Steam as it is on the normal Men of War structure, right?

I got MoW thru steam in June as yes you can install the patch the same way, except that it isn't the default install location so u have to copy the files over etc. Which means all the new guys wont have ANY idea and will be on the old version wondering why noone is playing and never play again!!!

The new patch could do more harm than good. In these terms!!

Maybe it would be a good idea to start a separate thread for Steam users in the Men of War general discussion telling them that they have to install the 1.16.4 beta patch manually? I can imagine that some players that are not particularly good with computers might have problems otherwise.
