I think it would be nice that you could go to advanced settings and then choose 'unit class restrictions' which would open a list of all unit type in the game that you can choose to turn on or off for the game.
eg:
armoured cars/anti-aircraft vehicles
tanketts
light tanks
medium tanks
heavy tanks
super tanks
light artillery
medium artillery
heavy artillery
anti-tank artillery [at guns]
Infantry
in this way, if I want I can have an infantry only style game but also allow some light vehicles.
or I can have a tank only game but also allow light vehicles and anti-tank artillery or I can have a normal game but without the heavy artillery just by selecting the check boxes next to the desired unit types.
A game I used to play years ago called 'rainbow six: rogue spear' used to have a similar sort of option, but it was a check box for every weapon and piece of equipment, not just classes of weapons.
we used it a lot for different game types [like pistols only].
