single-player executable?

where is it? I can only see "mow_assault_squad_mp" in the game directory among other types of files. I really want to try out skirmish mode in single player, but don't know how...

Copy your original mow singleplayer exe into the Assault squad folder and you're done. :)

It works even whitout the original MoW files, you can put the exe there and voila.

mow.exe doesn't work because it's protected by steam...

As for now, no. We want to add the option to start the game without another player in multi, however the speed of such things happening depend on BW currently.

Just a thought, 100% experimental and dangerous: What if steam users moved the Assault Squad files into the original MoW folder under Steam and moved all the old MoW files (excluding the protected executable) out of the folder? Then you might be able to play the game in Steam's offline mode with Assault Squad SP. I imagine going online with that setup would cause issues. Don't try this unless you enjoy re-downloading your game after FUBAR'ing it.

I back up regularly so I gave this a try.

And it does not work...you start to load and get past vids then CTD with error codes :(

Uhh, for you guys that can't launch because the Steam MoW.exe is protected, just use the .exe for the beta patches.

Same works with the editors.

Or better,download a mow patch from here,install the pach in the c:\ dir and copy/paste the "patched" exe in your mow as folder.This metid wont work for the metaboli patch.
