(See last three posts in this thread for explaination of my ignorance in posting this mess and why it has changed names)

I'm sure at least some of the modders have already noticed there are some entities, maps and such that cause the program to shut down unexpectedly on them. This thread is intended to list those items so that others might not have to deal with them. I'm going to list the items I've found here and I hope that others will help in this so that all modders can work more efficiently and with less hassle. Maybe some solutions can be found for these crashes in the future.

These come from the Land - Textures - Library - nature1 menu...

grass on grunt

water on sand

ground on leaves1

grass on water

Trying to use these items causes this error and crashes out the program...

there are solutions

For this error will be :

Include in your mod inside folder resource , new folder texture/common/animation/water_blue.tga.tex

But question is , better try another texture? :P

Well I'm just trying to list those items which crash the editor. If you have solutions you know they will be welcomed by all :D .

??? So the editor is reading the resource folders of the mods in my mods folder? I just thought all these items were included in the editor :P . Shows what I know of modding :oops: . Are the first items I listed also parts of mods? If so I need to edit the opening post in this thread :oops: .

Well I'll be dipped in cow sh*t and washed in horse p*ss :oops: . The GEM Editor does read the entities out of the mods folder o_O . When a mod is active in the game the GEM Editor can read those entities created for that mod. No wonder I was seeing SoE maps in the map selection menu earlier and not later when I switched mods. If I ever figure out how to mod decently I'll have to remember that so that if I would like to use one of those maps and I can't find the mapmaker I can still give full credit where credit is due. One thing though Albus. I never activated the BTRH or DE mod in game. The GEM Editor must be reading those items you listed as BTRH and DE items differently which probably means I need to move my mods folder out of the game folder while I'm messing with the editor tool. As soon as I took the SoE RWM mod off the ingame mods menu I could no longer see any of those entities on the Editor's entity menu. And since I don't play with the BTRH mod anyways I might as well go ahead and delete it out of my mods folder. The Baer comes from the SoE RWM 1.8 mod I believe and I think it is in the Into the Jaws of the Beast bonus mission. Well this thread is pretty much useless then so I'm locking it up :P .
