Armour destroyed dosent happen

I remember in earlier patches and such, it was possible to destroy an enemy vehicile by detsroying their armor, which was similar to the hull being destroyed. it said that firing a small calibre weapon a lot of times at one spot would destroy the vehicile by destroying the armor, but this dosent seem to happen anymore....ive played many MP games and ive never seen armor destroyed once..

It was rare before and honestly I only recall seeing it when shooting at armored cars with AA gun or similar class of weapon.

Yeah, but sometimes it happens when firing at tanks with aa guns as well...its odd.

I have seen 100+ shots with HE and AP from the Russain ISU's at the front of a panther without its armor being destroyed. Clearly, armor destruction happens far too rarely, if it even works properly at all.

I played a tanks only USA vs SU game and repaired a destroyed T-70 (60?). Then a BA-11 spawned near my T-70 and I shot and, if I remember right, it's armour was destroyed.

Only damange indicators I've seen on vehicles regarding armor/hull is Hull Crushed/Hull Damaged/Hull Destroyed.

i think the new patch broke it actually...and hull damaged? never seen that either.

also, how does the game quantify between hull crushed and hull detsroyed? i guess crushed is a partial penetration from HEAT and destroyed is a full peentration from an AP round?

There is only AP rounds and HE rounds for tanks in default MOW. I'm not really sure what causes Hull Crushed.

Bad translation causes hull crush, that would be my guess.

Ive seen "armour damaged" in the single player campaign (specifically, on the Tiger during the last German mission - think it was three times during one round. The writing is grey not red), but never seen it in MP.

I turn damage indicators off. I find it slightly off-putting watching red and yellow text pop-up when you kill a tank. Couldn't tell you if it's happened to me or not.

I did it to a greyhound using an AT rifle and from what I can tell it just kills the crew.

Well, when it says hull crushed you can still repair the tank and make it useable again.
