Planting Dynamite!!??

Well the problem first arose in the mission behind enemy lines. I had the dynamite in my soldiers intentory but got no 'use dynamite' command i thought maybe you just had to drop it and when i did that i got the soundbite for the explosives being planted. so i thought that was it. Except the secondary mission to plant dynamite was never completed and none of the sticks i dropped exploded....

ok well at least it wasnt an absolutely essential part to the level and i could still progress. Now i get to the mission where the germans storm tobruk and you have to use dynamite to destroy the blockades. This time I do get a plant dynamite option when a soldier has it in his inventory. Ok, i think, maybe i was just being stupid earlier...

Now im on the allied mission where i have to use dynamite to destroy the dead end in the town so i can get the dodge through... and i cant do it. i cant plant the explosives and nothing i do seems to change that. Am i being an idiot or is this a bug?? I have the steam version if that makes any sort of difference. Please help i would very much like to finish the single player campaign.

I know that in the russian mission, you must put the dynamite into the inventory of the object you want to destroy. Continue doing this untill the objective is completed.

You just have todrag the dynamite out of your inventori,near the objective.

Yeah worked it out now. I suppose i just expected that, seeing as just dropping the dynamite from my inventory hadnt worked the first time round and that the second time i had to use dynamite it had actually given me a 'use' command to plant the stuff that i came to the conclusion that was the way it was meant to work... Having to use three different methods in three different missions with no actual explanation of what you are actually meant to do is not the best design wise really.

But then again i seem to be the only person to have had this problem so nevermind.

Go to the "Use" menu option (Cogs/gears symbol), select it and there is a picture of dynamite with the fuse lit, select it and point to where you want the dynamite to go, it will showing a "flashing" dynamite where you can place it and nothing where you can't, select a location where it can be planted then left-click and run!!

This is exactly the same way the mines are also laid

You can use dynamite like a handgrenade in direct control ; you can even thow it some meters ..
