I'd like it if someone has already made a similar map, if they can upload it even if it's only 50% done. I'm after a map (not mission) that I can use for a singleplayer defensive mission during the korean war. This game contains and I have every piece of equipment I need for my mini-mod.

I have already started a map, but map creation isn't my strong point, I take far too long fiddling and making minor changes. The korean jungle can take a variety of forms, from the dense tropical jungle aka Vietnam, to tall straight trees with high canopy similar to European, and even dry spaced out shrubery similar to Australian bush. I probably wouldn't want it too centered on one style. Some basic stimulus

The size should be medium, not huge, probably atmost 800 m across. The terrain shouldn't be flat, being a forest/jungle/shrubby area it should be hilly, or atleast dense enough that you can't hit everything from the top of the hill. Small spaced out huts/villages would be ok, as long at they arn't numerous enough to interfere with the AI's pathfinding and make them bunch up.

As for the lay out It would be best to have a hill as the centermass of the map, possibly with a supply route connecting 1 side of the map to the center. It should be possible to flank from all sides of the hill with no real bottlenecks, though the terrain should have suggestive paths. For example two hills meet to form a valley, with many trees and rocks on both hills suggesting vehicles use the valley.

This is just a rough, rough visual idea. The map should have more room to flank from the sides, also the area surrounding the hill shouldn't be flat.

Ok now realistically, i know the odds of someone actually specifically making me a map is about 1/100, but I was hoping that atleast those of you who took the time to read this would think of an existing map similar (even if its just the terrain formations) to what im talking about, I'd gladly track down the author and ask premission.

Even better would be a publically released map pack, does anyone know any good ones? I have had a bit of a look on the forum but havn't had much success. I have the DCG map pack on download, and the SoE looks like mostly city (could be wrong).

Thanks, zlatko

P.S. I have been contributing to the MoW WiKi. It's more useful now that it contains both real life stats, and multiplayer game stats, armour, penetration etc. I added about 7 today, hopefully should be much better in a month or so time!!

Might want to hold off on those multiplayer stats considering they are getting changed with this next patch.

Why not upload the 50% of that map you have done for someone to use as a base?
