I would realy like to see axis vs allies only and that you can chose you own country from axis or allies side (same as in COH) :realbig:

Sure, it's been done yet, but I don't recall any "results" having come out of it.

And if by realy you mean "realistic", then I have to wonder about the realism of a godamn lot of the joint operations of the british and american armies during the war.

And it you invoke the argument of "Yeah, but you could have US with Germany", then let me remind you of the "realism" already present in a free for all mode or team based modes where you can have USA fighting against... USA.

Really, offering more choices doesn't take away the realism. People just feels it'd take realism away because they're too used to Germany vs "someone else"... yet the game still permits to pit a same nation against itself already. Permitting individual players to choose their nations of choices would only add a new layer to the choice permitted. So you could theorically have UK&US vs GER for those who like realism whereas those who don't mind could chose whichever army they feels like.

As it stands in the current system, I know I find myself skipping a lot of team games online because the host didn't set one of the armies I'd like to play as his choice of teams for the game(seriously, I'm tired of Soviets VS Germany, give me some UK once in a while) and I can't chose my preferred army because of it unless it's a free-for-all(where realism of sides is thrown out of the door as soon as free-for-all is sprung in).
